I'm ordering a heated vest and a set of heated grips asap. Any recommendations from someone who has experience with these things?

Thanks

Lemuel

GERBINGS for the heated gear.

I've ridden in my aerostich RoadCrafter (2pc)

and Gerbings Jacket Liner as low as 17degrees (over 300mi).

I've also got the gerbings socks...and their HEAVY winter/heated

gloves.

Make sure you get sized properly for the jacket...it should

fit "snug" not too loose or too restrictive/tight...it wont keep

you warm if its not "snug" against your body.

dont know what bike your considering this for use on...but

make SURE youve got the electrical system to support it....

the jacket is 77w and the gloves and socks are 22watts EACH...

(my bmw alternator puts out over 800w so ive got the room for

the "extras" on it).

theres a REVIEW of the stuff on WEBBIKEWORLD.COM

I bought these last year and a I am very happy. In fact, I used them for about 6 hours today on my 600 miler to the NE MG rally and back. They have high low setting, are balaced, and do not pull much at all from the battery. When I installed mine I installed a nice set of gel grips too and am happy with both. Not sure where I bought or what I payed but these are the ones:

I like the Gerbing site. I have an '03 LeMans. Is there enough alternator there for the heated vest, gloves and driving lights?

Regards,

Lemuel

I doubt it. What's the wattage on the lights?

I have heated gloves and while they are 'ok', they aren't the best thing in the world. Still, I'm good down to about 17 F myself. I wear a roadcrafter and a warm fuzzy pullover- no need for a vest.
