  1. Hi all, haven't had my V-11 very long and can't keep off the thing however and I'm sure this must of been covered a hundred times the seat is a real pain ,I've put a Airhawk on but not had a chance to try it any real distance so was wondering if any one has used a Corbin seat on this model bike and if so is it worth the rather large out lay in beer tokens, cheers all ,Don
  2. not really anything important to say but took the breva on a run sat and it proved itself a great touring do it all bike once again but what is it that stirs the soul and makes me feel ten years younger and so much more free when I ride the V-11 can any of you American guy's come back and say what it is that stirs your soul when riding the sport c'mon bare your soul what is it that makes us biker's ,freedom, speed, the buzz, the need to see other places with wind in the hair ,the thrill of "Lord nearly lost it then" ,but kept on track so feel good in ability,we all done it ,or is it that brill sound that no one else can replicate ,dunno 'bout you guy's but I'm pushing 59 and will never ride another 'cycle but a big Guzzi simply because it has a soul, said it before and say it again theres people ride fast bikes and people who ride fast on bikes ,been riding bikes long time now and don't know of anything else where you can pull up in a foriegn country and have a chat to a totall stranger just because he riding a 'bike ,God Bless an G'Night.Don
  3. part ex'd a R1100 sport for a Breva so know all about getting batteries out just wait till you change the air filter now thats real fun but boy did it go around corners and practical too unfortunately for Mr BMW it just didn't have the heart of a big Guzzi and never stirred my soul like the V-11 is doing ,maybe not as quick as the BM,I wont find out till the roads are ice free but I only press that button and listen to that V-Twin roar and I'm in nirvana who need's drugs for a high, well maybe sometimes, just joking .Don
  4. Guzzirider I hate to admit it but much as I love my naked sport them Rosso Corsa's look damn nice to me ,Don
  5. Hi All,as a new owner of a V-11 sport (naked) I've looked through the preety uselless owners manual looking on how to remove the tank ,I think it's fairly simmilar to my previous calli ev but dont want take the chance on busting something underneath I can't see so any advice please, also am thinking of putting a ventuta luggage rack on it aswell ,now I have a set of "L" brackets near new that came off a BMW R1100 sport and was wondering can they be adapted to fit with a bit of modification on the lugs etc,if any one has pics of the brackets where they pick up on the V-11 maybe I can fit the present "L" brackets without buying new (again)Thanks .Don
  6. cheers, have discovered that my RAM mount will pick up on the clutch/brake lever clamp bolts so with slightly longer bolts I'll be ready to fit my 2610 garmin, old hat to some but it gets me where I want and I definetly dont want to talk to any one on the mobile while out riding and the only music I want to hear is that lovely Guzzi V-Twin seranade at pace, great.Thank's again all,Don
  7. Thanks all ,will sort something afer Xmass when weather breaks ,just gotta get them G-Force they sound brill.Don
  8. Hi does anybody know if mistral x-overs will work ok with a set of G-Force mufflers(silencers as we call in the UK)or is there any re-mapping needed, been told the cans will just bolt straight on without alterations but not sure if a after market x-over will alter things, heard g-Force cans on song and just got to get 'em on my bike so I can think I'm going faster than I really am
  9. I only live a couple of miles up the road from where Cathrine is from so I understand completly where your comming from ,Lord I'm even going out in the howling wind and rain an dark just to ride the thing ,just went and bought a new rain suit ( the other shrunk ,I'm sure I havent put weight on ) so I can keep on rolling, seriously thou have looked at Ram mounts for GPS but where best to fit them ?got a universal mount which might bolt to lever clamps with longer bolts but dont think that look very good so maybe someone knows a better position on cockpit ,all the best ,Don
  10. Hi all,I've just aquired a 2003 V-11 (naked) to go along with my 1100 breva and am enjoying it very much in the short time I've had it ,what I'm wondering is has anybody ever tried fitting a sat nav to theyre V-11 and if so where abouts, any pictures? I realise a sat nav doesn't really fit the image of a rorty sport Guzzi but belive me I'm the world's worst navigator who can get lost in my own back yard and after years of flicking my eyes from my tank mounted map case to the road a million times a hour while zipping around Europe next to the luxury of a very nice women telling me to take the next turning right while in the middle of Paris in rush hour is worth the withering looks of fellow Guzziti ,thanks .Don....PS seem to be taking the sport out a lot more than the breva so does this mean I've been beguiled and smitten ?????
  11. Just a quick note to say hello all ,I've just got myself a V-11 sport (naked) on the 7th nov and am allready smitten ,sadlly had to let the calli go as no room what with the breva and a old BSA Bantam but boy am I having fun on the sport and am pleasantly surprised at the comfort level, much better than I thought it would be so any suggestions regarding some usefull bolt on goodies and the best tyres to fit, thinking of G-Force silencers(silencers, daft name for them)can't wait for morning so can get out again on my silver beasty ,only 5000ml on it in 5yrs if I dont triple that in first yr you have my permission to black ball me ,well cheers all gonna browse the site now.Don
