Realize the later models are largely Rodolfo Francoli designs within the firm , Marabese Design. Both the Centauro and the V11 Sport look to be exclusive to Luciano, himself.

Not to diminish the interesting question! Or the discussion to follow . . .  :mg:

The Centauro has to be one ugliest bikes around, in my opinion of course.

  2. I should have added loads of spares for the basic bike as just a variation of bikes made back into the 1970's, many T3 and on parts will fit.  May not be so easy to get body parts as did not sell in very high numbers.

  3. You will notice a lack of power  and of any real rev band.  Great bike for poodling around, you can short shift 1-3-5 and still make progress.  The cast iron discs corrode so wipe down after wet weather to reduce the amount of brown rust thrown about.  Comfortable for a pillion with sensible footpeg position, feels like the centre of gravity is lower than a V11 LeMans so again easier to ride.  The side stand is not so good, some folk fit the left lower frame rail and the long California stsnd.

  4. Thought your new Temple was lovely especially with the trees behind and the beautiful house. I must confess I am now stalking you via Google Earth and watched an interesting 12 minutes video of Gausdal and the area. I never expected such diversity in a relatively small area.  I am jealous, Southampton is OK but what was left after the Nazi air raids was torn down by 1960's town planners.

  5. Ever ridden one of those old Honda 90 step through bikes, they have leading link forks with the brake unit fixed to the arm, when you brake the front end lifts up and pushes back at you on the handle bars.  Actually rather fun in a way but did tend to patter on the road if wet and at speed.......55mph!

  6. Is there an 'Ignore Topic' button on this site?  Some sites do which enables you to not see topics that are of no interest,  happy kittens on a gardening site etc.  On this site it is those topics relating to large American cars which are irrelevant to me..

  7. Paul "Loopy" Lewis was involved with the Dock Gate 20 Harley dealership in Southampton, Uk.  He seemed a likeable chap the few times I chatted with him, happy to listen to you and told a few interesting stories.  I do remember him wheelying a full dresser Harley in a very tight space at a show.  Also going like a maniac pulling wheelies around the roundabout opposite the shop. No longer sure of the details but I remember him saying he could beat any non-racer on any other bike with his Harley.

  8. Sorry, cannot help with alternator cover, but am happy with the pannier bags and frame I bought from you, arrived safely and well packed.  I did get excited when I saw the box for Black Widow exhausts though.  What did you fit them to?

  9. Does anyone know who IMGZEIT are and if they are connected with this site?   I believe they are an image store outfit, been receiving unrequested bills from them.

  10. That is exactly how I see it.

Our OEM pipes were probably designed to tuck the system away neatly under the bike, perhaps for cornering clearance but most likely cosmetic.  There may be a weight saving in having two smaller shared silencers. All this discussion about Stucchi, Mistral et al is really about which system is least bad, none of them probably enhance power over the Tonti H system.  Two seperate pipes may even work best for peak power. Hence that system that looked like a crossover but had no hole between them.

But, as I said  I do find the V twin exhaust system confusing.
