I had not heard about a problem with ethanol swelling tanks. I do have a swollen tank on my V11 Lemans 2002. I believe this is a common issue on plastic tanks. The ethanol modify the properties of the plastic, which expands. It's mainly visible close to the seat, and just above the air box plastic cover. When I remove the screw that hold the tank in the back, I have as well difficulties to insert the screw back, due to misalignment of the hole on the tank with the frame. I had the same issue on my previously owned Ducati, the gas tank was replaced by Ducati under warranty. Olivier Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
