  2. I had to replace the light bulbs as they were blown. Probably due to the high voltage caused by the failing voltage regulator. I'll be cautious though and won't go too far... It'll take some more driving without issues before I feel reassured
  3. Found it! The voltage regulator was the culprit. Replaced it and everything seems to be ok again. Lights, charging and instruments are back as new. Only the dashlights are out, probably they didn't survive the voltage drops and peaks so still have to replace those. Thanks for your help!
  4. Turn indicators and warning lights are always working. I'll check for a broken wire at the ignition. Still I think it's strange. If I put in a fully charged battery (reads 12,8V): the bike fires up and runs for about 15 to 20 minutes. Lights stay dead. After some driving, the tach dies and little later the bike comes to a stop. Battery indicates something like 11,5V now. Battery is new (2 months), fuses are ok and so far I assume relays are good too since, when swapped and the battery is good) they all fit to act as start relay. So, I'll order a new regulator (since it charges at 19V) and check the wires at the ignition. Any other ideas are welcome. How should I test the ignition? Just wiggle all wires and check for loose ones?
  5. And then which ones would I need? Now they are all five pin pieces. All the same. But that seems incorrect. I cannot find the right ones in the workshop manual.
  6. Did an overnight full recharge of the battery. Bike fired right up without any problems. Still no head-, tail- and brakelights though... Tach seems to work again. Dashlights are out.
  7. Update:little morning test. Tach's dead too. Bike did run for few minutes and then suddenly lost all power. Won't start now. I only hear the relays clicking. Battery seams dead now. Could it be the power regulator? I measured 19V charging at 6000 rpm. Way too much no? Perhaps this leads to a failing battery which causes everything else to fail?
  8. All relays are 5-pin here. Don't know if that is origional in Belgium, I'll check it later this week. Horn works just fine.
  9. Ok thank you. I'll check the bulbs tomorrow or thursday and report back here. 1) tach works 2) illumination doesn't work. Tach wasn't lit when I bought the bike, speedo failed a couple of days ago (I thought it was just the bulb so planned to replace it during next service. 3) waening lights works except for the side stand indicator 4) city lights don't work either 5) tag light neither
  10. Hi everybody Today I noticed my headlight didn't work. When I got off the bike, I saw that neither my taillight nor my brake light is working. Checked the fuses under the seat: all ok. Lightbulb in the tail: ok. Relays: they're all the same so I've swaped places several times: everything else seems to be ok so I guess the relays are ok too. What could it be then? Any thoughts? Btw: it's a 2001 V11 Sport. Kind regards! Arno
