  1. Yeah, a little dry clutch rattle I can handle.. ....but when it is bad, you have to raise your voice to be heard over it. Never had anything like this with a five speed Tonti! Sounds like a heavy machine gun. Nige.
  2. That is what I was afraid of... Still, throw it back at the dealer to sort it under warranty....... Unless others can cheer me up? Nige.
  3. No, the noise disappears when the clutch is pulled in... Nige.
  4. Bit of additional information. Doesn't seem to do it when the engine is cold. Nige.
  5. ...back from the dealers. Into neutral & all hell breaks loose in the clutch area. OK when the clutch is pulled in....Heavy machine gun 'clat clat clat' that you have to raise your voice to be heard over when the lever is released. Thrust bearing on the way out or what do you think, please. There is 5,500miles on the clock. Not so happy! Any diagnosis / remedy would be most welcome. Nige.
  6. Thanks for the 'Heads Up', Jaap.... I take it all V11s use the same seat squab? Nige.
  7. We are not talking about much here,KB.....an inch at most....combining this with a narrower section on the seat squab.....It may well be just enough. Just need to source a second hand seat squab. Nige.
  8. Thanks for the input, Mike. I am begining to think you may be right with your call on the seat modification. That said will that 13mm raise make the plot 'twitchty'? Nige.
  9. Yes, here I am again, picking everyone's brains.... I know I touched on this issue in another thread, I now have a more specific question & a little more data. OK.....The bike is a 2002 Scura. I weigh 147lbs & am 5'7" on a good day. No problem with the pegs or bars. Ground is about 1/2" to 1" too far away for comfort. What is my best method of lowering it a little, please? TIA Nige.
  10. My thoughts exactly! Probably due to one mount being more rigid / tighter than another. Or maybe in some cases down to poor design of the mounts. In this case I would guess probably the former. You will get a stress / fatigue failure just like that. Nige.
  11. Look here for Jack http://home.pacbell.net/diana_do/knowjack.htm Very good! Thanks for the link! Nige.
  12. No problem! I was a little puzzled at the time! Nige.
  13. Thanks for the help, folks! Nige
  14. LOL I agree......No flair.....No soul! Nige.
  15. Thanks for the info KB... Much appreciated. Nige.
  16. Is there a decent workshop manual available? Nige.
  17. OK.... I'll buy that.... I just hope I won't need to fiddle with it too much! Nige.
  18. I wonder if I am alone in wondering...... If this multi-adjustable suspension is just a cop-out by the manufacturers?... Like....'We can't get it right....Mebbe you can?' Seriously, though it always used to be that suspension was pre set, you either got on with it, or changed the springs, damping oil or ride height & that was it. I know each combination of rider & riding conditions differ but....As I see it the more options...the more confusion...The more opportunity to cock it up? Or maybe it is just me? Nige.
