  1. I have allways used pirelli dragons , but now I have a bridgestone bt010 front, this is realy a great tyre. Steering si so much lighter, morer easy in the corner. Even riding in the city is an improvment. Riding height front or back doesn't do much with the bikes front/rear ratio, but changes the steeringhead angle and trail. Thats where you notice the difference. What it might do is move your body more to the front, and change the weight on the front from your body. As lowering the clipons also does.
  2. The pressure for the daytona is normal 3bar, with a factory C kit ( diferent cams, pistons and eprom) you get a 4 bar valve. So guzzi has done it theirselves.
  3. Today I made some pictures of the (prototype)seat, mounted on the V11 More on the v11 parts page on my homepage my homepage, goto the v11 parts
  4. I've seen on a german list, someobne claining that it will be a warranty, that they will go back to italy for it. Ca'nt believe that, Imagine the costs. It would ensure the world that Guzzi is serious about customer care and quality. On the other hand, the japanese paint engines black for a lot of years, no problem. So they will laugh about it a lot. It's a shame. I think maybe a high pressure water cleaner will take the paint off for you. Paul
  5. The price will be around 300 euro. This including all parts, excluding shipping, you only have to paint it your own color and mount it. Send me a mail to be on the list. Paul
  6. Tonight is was with the seat at the polyester man. While looking at it, I came to the idea to let the seat close the bottom also. This until where the 2 bolts are ( 35 cm from the back). Would give a much cleaner look. He is thinking about the price, I hear that tomorrow. paul
  7. Today I made the first steps towards the prototype. Fits perfect. IS this a go?
  8. You must be americans! A special taste for style.
  9. I was wondering how many v11 owners are interested in a seat with a light build in? Then only the license plate is the only thing hanging underneath. A picture of the light is here: rearlight and here with licenseplate license plate I have an original v11 seat, so I then make new fiberglass or carbon parts, the same form/size as original, only with realight build in. A bolt on construction. The whole plastic rearfender can go. The licenseplate lighting can be in the bottom of the seat, the light it self has an E4 stamp, so it's allowed for use in the eu. Don't know about other parts of the world. It's a led rearlight/brake light combintion. an idea of a v11 without rearfender:
  10. Because it only stays on if you don't touch it. I separated gearbox from engine, enough to lose some paint. And further because I 'm going to use the gearbox and final drive unit on my daytona. See pictures from the proces on: My Webpage. The paint on the engine is after only 2500 km more worse. It's looking like tarmac. Bigger pictures on the website. I think after 4 years a lot of these new v11's with black engine won't have the original paint anymore. The gray paint on the centauro and daytona rs was much better. paul
  11. Today, I stripped the paint of the reardrive from my v11 le mans. It's a very easy proces. I just used ordinairy paint stripper, as bought in any hobby shop. After the first time I got 90% off, the second time the rest. So now I have pure aluminium. I let it sand blast, and then it's more than new. One thing to watch, when I dismanteled the v11 , I found the bolts from the joint connection to the gearbox were lose. A thing to check. Mine has only 2500 km.
  12. I have 1 degree steeper bearings made by ghezzi&brian. I don't know if they still do that. I bought them in 1994 in mandello. For 100 euro. you can have seen them on this site: http://www.eurobiketeam.com http://www.eurobiketeam.com/listino%20specialkits.htm It's only italian, and I have been there, because I had seen the site, Nothing there, He seemed not interested anymore in selling parts. I asked him then about marvic magnesium wheels, Because he has them on his site, but he didn't want to sell them anymore. A real disapointment. I had been driving a few hours to visit the shop. Paul

    Handelbars

I don't know why people are complaining about handlebarheight. I bought a le mans 2001 today. On my daytona the clipons are under the top plate, I never had complaint about that. The V11 height looks very comfortable to me. The more you rise the bars, the more you are upright, having more weight on the back. Nice in the city, but not cornering. I'm 1.90 meters tall.
