  1. I really like the Buell Carbon Fiber screen It sits real close to the bike and looks like it was made for it. I got one for $130 with the mounting hardware and unless you are into buells and no one is. then its not that noticeable I'll try to add a pic sometime if anyone cares.
  2. HEY if anyone knows of a crashed/totaled V11 with the carbon or the aluminum gas tank surround just let me know I'll buy it of ya, for a price you determine. Its starting to look like unless I have one fabricated or steal one I may not be able to come across one. So everyone with the new guzzis watch out if I'm walking by.
  3. Well I like the white faced dails much better BUT I wish the markers didn't fade so bad. Really if I could get in there with some good enamel and make'em bright as ever I'd be happy but I know thats not as easy as it sounds. So I was just entertaining the notion of getting the newer black dials as a possibility. good to know thats not a good idea.
  4. IS it altogether possible to get the newer black faced dials and install them in my '00 V11 Sport. Those damn gauge markers are fading away on me. OR does anyone know of a possible even better replacement/enhancement. Maybe someway to crack open the dials and paint the markers. Although I am feeling they only open one way - broken ,maybe not in that order

I started a thread and I guess I should have just read further into some topics because I couldn't find anything at first. Like I've heard the only stupid question is the one you don't ask. But you don't look too intelligent when most of your answers were right in front of you. Those neptunes look nice enough but not the look I was going for exactly. going for the FBF ovals anyone have some good experience with those?
  6. I'd love to be able to get the Titanium ovals. the MG ones. Well I inquired into 2 different dealerships I've heard they want 1,200 for them and they also have no idea when more will be produced. If I see a set on ebay someday I'll snatch them up. I know everyone is different I was looking for personal experience and possibly even compared to other motorcycles for the reason already stated I've only seen 4 guzzi's on the road 2 V11's and 2 old californias I think(dunno). So it makes it hard to know what they all sound like. its starting to look like I just need to guess. I'm probably going to go with the FBF Ti or carbon(undecided) ovals and crossover if the MG ti's are no more. but this has been helpful I was going to get carbon rounds, I didn't know the ovals give a deeper sound And thats exactly what I want. Does anyone have good experience with the FBF set-up? as in quality construction, deep note, ease of installation?
  7. I Guess that is the most sound advice, I know it has been flogged to death but not one really describes the sound, they say "it sounds nice" or "its throaty" "or its too loud" or they just said where you can pick them up and they sound nice. because come on. how loud is too loud but if there was a comparison to be made is what I Was looking for. AS in loudest maybe throatyest to sounds like stock. I have heard a file with someone who had the quad-d setup and they sound rather close to stock. But those are the only ones I've actually heard. And a guy told me FBF was too loud. so my question is complicated on the net I'm sure you can't make threads like well my exhaust sounds like rump rump rummmmpppaaa rummmmpppaaa, But maybe someone has heard most of them and would know whats best.
  8. Could anyone tell me the "Best Sounding" Guzzi exhaust? as in nice and throaty like a harley almost tho I know it will never sound like a harely. But when you can hear the induction and the clutch over the pipes something ain't right, So in your professional opionons which would be the Best Slip-ons FBF, Mistral, Quad d, Leo Vinchi, gallaseti-they are sweet looking. but no speakem the english, any others I know I missed. The best Crossover- Stucci, FBF, are there others? I'm leaning towards FBF for price I can wait for them to come. Also if someone wants to get technical and say which is the best peroformance boost thats fine too. I'm a rook and my eyes hurt from reading blogs all day. maybe this way will be easier. "ride it like you stole it, Then wash it for 2 hours and put it back"
  9. Thanks for the help on those blogs I was looking for them but couldn't seem to find the ones regarding the original ECU only the ones all about the PCIII. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right places. Oh and I got my bike out yesterday had to charge the battery for an hour but Feb 4th, In Minnesota hit 50. All I can say is poor poor snowmobilers. Ah Man, Reading all those threads gave me brain freeze. Talk about a whirlwind of confusing theroys and hearsay. Anywho let me know how you like your New FBF setup I can't decide between the mistrals or the FBF slip-ons. MG titaniums would have been my first choice but who knows when they will be made again.
  10. I'm SORRY was there a bike somewhere in those pictures? I swear I didn't see any. AND I have the Bike magazine someone spoke of and I'd much rather have the Ducati 1000 DS or the Aprilia Futura for a sport tourer Than a 999, With that logic and price tag you might as well get the Benelli or the MV agusta I mean at least then youre being different right? "Why follow When the other guy doesn't have directions either?"
  11. I've had no problems I also purchased a bike with 3K on it and it bothered me at first but they told me it was normal the reviews I read never mentioned it. JUST be sure you don't have lifter noise check your oil. I was also told they can tend to eat oil from time to time I hope they weren't "blowing smoke" though it was the dealer and if they can take a bike apart and screw you on labor they'll do it. But when I got my oil changed I was a quart low and I had less noise after that. I still feel I'm new with this My first Guzzi but certianly not my last as long as they don't fold. "white rimmed stop signs are optional"
  12. I have a 2000 Guzzi V11 sport I've done nothing but add a buell carbon windscreen I wanted something smaller and 1/3rd the price of the guzzi's or guzzi aftermarket. Anyway many mods to come in the future Mistrals carbons, stucci, FBF elminator plus I have the K&N filters but I'm going to install them all at once. My question is this. Does anyone know where I could pick up the carbon fiber or even the aluminum peice that goes around the gas cap on the tank? it currently has the crappy (I'm sure soon to crack) vinly on it and I'd really love to replace it with the carbon fiber one as a theme. The dealer told me its about $450 but he suspects it will not be in stock for they appear to be out of everything and advised me to search overseas. So if anyone knows anything or anywhere to look please drop me a line. Thanks
