  1. The Bridgstone Battle AXE's are about to become the Battle EX's

Any suggestions on what to replace them with. I really like the looks of the Dunlop D616. Any thoughts?

Thanks to the original thread starter. It sure helped me out with the same problem.

    Richard Z.

Michelim Pilot power , excellent spot tyre with exceptional grip on the wet.

Metzeler M3 also sport tire warms very quick wears not so quick , excellent over all grip faster geometry than the pilots

Metzeler M1 warms up fast and keeps warming up very stable but wear quicker than the previous. Fast geometry as well.

Metzeler Z6 well tested and a long beek performer.

Bridgestone BT21 NEW sport tourer tire with 2 different rubber mixes. soft at the edges bit harder in the middle

    works very well.

  2. My condolences to all his family and friends... I'ts really so sad to hear such incidents.

Even when we do not knew him , every motorcyclist is a BROTHER

We motorcyclists continually face so many dangers on the streets

    Really sad :(

    Godspeed to everyone.

  3. Hey Alex,

  6. Last year at this same time I bought my 2004 V11 Sport new out of the box. This year I needed a new car so I kinda went the Italian route. I bought an 08 Suzuki SX4 Hatchback. It's also known as a Fiat Sedici. I bought it in a snowstorm that dumped 12" in Kansas in 8 hours... What may not seem like much, but in Kansas it's a problem.... LOL

I love the AWD and the price. Less than $15,000US out the door. I don't have any pics of the actual car, but here are some pics of Suzuki's Website. I bought a Black car with Black interior.

  8. Good to hear you're relatively unhurt! Fix the bike and your ego and start riding!

I guess I have to fix my concentration permanently !

You can fix the bike, and as long as your wrist is okay, the rest will heal. Sad news, but I think you'll bounce back quickly.

Everything will be better than before. Thanks pal !!

    :bier:

  9. Yep that was it  2 secs of leaving my mind out of the bike , tried to examine a cable (looking at it) .. ..Bike takes wrong way and I crash (no brakes) sideways of the road  with 30-40kmh

Shocked and sudened of this incident of great carelessness I stand up after the crash bleeding from my nose , knees too, and right hand with pain in the wrist.

Wore protection except the pants as you understood.

Bike damage was , right mirror the fairing glass and one little place in the termi broken. Obviously the rossopuro protector did a great job , leavin some parts of the bike (side steering wheel as well) intact.

Thank God at the end, it could have been worse.....

  10. You may be right about the big difference but I think both are important if you want to push it. And I agree with Skeeve the OEM ECU seem to have been put together in a haste.

To my experience, messing the ignition advance to other values than the company's default it isn't that important (or important enough to make the big difference) And as I have noticed in Will Creedon chip he has kept the original ignition advance values.

Anyways is far more safe and enough to change only the fuel mapping and of course the temprature parameters (which are all messed up wrong by the company)

in order to have a steady performance.

    cheers

  11. Great, thanks Alex. Now for anyone interested, here is the comparison:

I listed both in a format similar to MyECU but with throttle degrees instead of the 0-14 index it uses.

Due to different throttle angles and different RPM breakpoints we have to be careful when comparing.

The max values are a lot different - note that the engine except for the ECU is, as far as I know, exactly the same.

I recon that's the ignition advance , nothing wrong with it. in the original chip , but is the fuel mapping and the temprature parameters that makes the big difference in tunning concerning this model.

  12. yep ;)

Which all were "brought" from the ancient Greeks ...ooriginaly way way back. ;)

Lucky you Alex. I love Paris. I was there in the fall of 2006. Rented an apartment around the corner from Notre Dame. What a great city, not to mention all of the beautiful women strolling about.

Think I will do the same. Rent an apartment , hopefully ,next year. If there you have any tip about it based on your experience

    drop me a PM

    :bier:

  13. L :P L

I'm interested in the pristine original map because I'm not sure the one I've got is the original. Actually my My16M with Cliff's map is much better than the OEM ECU except for one situation: WOT through the gears, like going 0-200 km/h. Not that I do that very often but I want to know why. Except from that the OEM runs like crap while My16M is wonderful in casual riding.

OK then I will email you the original map, is that OK for you ?

  14. Thanks. He seems busy inspecting fur, or lack of it, in France  I'll try and PM him.

Do inspect a lot of fur , indeed snake skinned ones does got more of my attention as well

    dscn7216ht6.jpg

My career as fur maintainer has reached new levels

So you want an original mapped chip for the 1.6M , right ?

Or you want something that works well ?

  15. Lucky you Alex. I love Paris. I was there in the fall of 2006. Rented an apartment around the corner from Notre Dame. What a great city, not to mention all of the beautiful women strolling about.

You can say that again !

  16. Helen's request to me for Christmas presents:

    Rossopuro crash protectors

    Alpinestars winter gloves

I don't mind doing that sort of shopping!

    Guy :helmet:

Shopping is cool... I have hammered some last week(s) I'm outside going round...

You know there s a cure on this virus.... it is called the Euro tree... My scientific team have discovered a new seed....

for the Euro tree... just plant it and wait to grow it's fruits out, needs some care and lot's of sun... and then...after few months you can harvest all the fresh Euro bills coming out..... Yes ... now on the developement for the purple bills... blues and greens are nice but the Purple ones... WOW !!!!

P.S. Do not fax me orders , it is not for sale.

  17. Kind of cucumber time here in Holland now. Very boring. I think this week will appare Alex The Sperminator here in my house. He have just called me, he is now in Berlin and will fly over to Amsterdam.

For the rest nothing to communicate

Do you guys have some decent news to share?

Yep , over here in Holland ....hey Antonio where's me beer,....Oh God not again ... have to get outside to smoke so till latter.... Yes guessed right I am over here with Anotnio and we have a laugh... Laughing at you boring old farts.... who sit on a PC writing on Guzzi forum to make your day (?) Oh God , ......

    .....

    ..... Got ya .... right ?

These damn planes are so fast.......hmmmm....go everywhere.... I would buy one but it's not Guzzi on it.... but then again I could put it myself....that's also an option. :bier: :bier:

Hehe Amsterdam seems so cool , 1 o clock in the night playing football outside of the Bulldog cafe for a start, that was something. :)

  18. Hmmm I don't think either of our 2 nations are that popular around the world these days for various reasons! :)

I personally find all these persentage result stuff and "studies" as total buls**t. You can't put tags on populations .....well of course unless you wanna "lead" them to something......or perhaps unless the test is done to each and everyone...... who damn cares.

How about a test on people who ride certain bikes....
