I don't need these as I have a 2002, but I think that since this is the type of thing that many 2003+ owners may want, but be unaware of being available.... and only comes around once every year or so in batches....
Jaap may want to "sticky" this thread or somehow get it in a headline on the forum so you guys can get as many orders in as possible, and also reduce the price via volume.
Jaap, what do you think?

Thank you!

I bought my x-pipe and PC from Fast by Ferracci (www.ferracci.com). I haven't done a dyno mapping, only played with the PC3 using the the feel of the ride as a guide. I'll probably get a mapping done in February.

Brief recap:
I blew out both of my shims, made a post to the Forum for help, and was referred to Arron Bard (Turtle) - he designed permanent and reusable shim replacement parts. Reference Thread: Floopy cross-over fixed! Fix for cross-over. April 16, 2004 (http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2528&hl=)
Fast forward:
I found Arron and he found his drawings and we (more him than me) are getting ready to have some shims made. Is anyone interested in buying a set. The more that are made, the lower the per unit cost. Per the reference, the costs are:
4sets for $121 each
6sets for $103 each
10sets for $86

Woohoo! The temps rose to 46 degrees today so I went for a ride around town. I had to take to rear tire to the gas station for air first but it was worth it. Now my bikes filthy with salt/road grime. I wish I could just put it in my shower & really clean it well This is the first time I've had it out of the garage in a month. Oh well spring is only 12 weeks away
Lucky dog! It got into the 50's today, but the bike remains in the garage... I am still waiting for parts.

Anthony, I just have ridden my Scura for the first time since having several things done including changing out the stock exhaust for Quat-ds. I couldn't be more pleased with the ride. I also had the fuel pump moved which entailed modifications to the air box. The bike sounds and rides much differently, much better. I also plan on now fitting hard bags to the bike. A task made much simpler with the new exhaust.
Rich, I am off the fence and I am going to buy the Quat-D. There's no appearent downside to the purchase. Thanks for your response.

Thanks for the information, the pictures (very nice looking setups), and the sound file (sweet!).
Now, if only I can get reusable shims to solve my front cross-over problem, I'll be able to swap-out my Ferracci slip-ons and X-pipe for the Quat-D anytime and use the PCIII maps to manage the hardware change over.
If Jedione68 finds the missing BHP, then

Keith - Thanks for the contact information. I'll see what comes of it.
Jaap and 02 V11 - Thank you for the translation service.
Cheers everyone!

I like the look of it. Does anyone have it on their MG?

I blew-out mine, both sides. I followed the forum references and tried to email you for the cad files for your shim solution, but the email bounced. I would appreciate any help you can provide.
Veck can't be the only one riding :!:

The 02 turns out to be great. I had misgivings about it for a while. My infatuation with Guzzi was always it's simplicity and reliability. I had a bit of buyers remorse combined with all the complaints on this forum. I was also getting off of a very simple, truly wonderful work of MC art Ducati...which has now languished for many mo.s because I just love the LeMans...
It's my favorite MC ever and I've owned and loved a mess of them.
Thanks for the feedback on the '02. No real show stoppers in what you said for making a purchase. Lots of help in the forum, too :!:
Just read about your latest ride... very nice. The weather here is wacky - "wintery mix" earlier in the week with schools closed or having early dismissal, then its 48F. Today is nice, but lots of sand on the road- saw a coupe scooter guys and bicyclists take a fall.

I am thinking about purchasing from Donelson Cycles in St. Ann, Missouri. The contact I have is listed below. Does anyone live near by or have any experience with them?

Rumple, er um Veck, yes there are very nice trips in my area. In a 5-6 hour day circuit you can cover MD into PA, WVa, VA and DE and back - mountains, rivers and beaches - I'd be glad to give the May rally in VT a try. How early in May is it?
Martin gave me a vgood thread on the shims - pictures, mechanical drawings, and thermodynamic calulations - I emailed Tutle to get his autocad drawings, just to put the icing on the cake.
How is that '02? I had one, champagne, for all of 78 miles. I got a lead on another, its a red/silver LM new, w/zero miles. I am very tempted to buy it and try out the tuning suggestions that folks have. Compare the mods to my 03 mods and share back what I learned.

Hi guys,
I have been lurking about here for quite a while. perhaps some of you might remember me from a few messages i have exchanged...
So wish me luck. Am i going to have to have a huge wallet for the mechanics? i thought guzzi engines shouldn't be that difficult to fix for regular mechanics. ducati bikes need specific tools to play around mechanic with it. I thought guzzi have more simple engines.
Anyway, please wish me luck!
Pierfrancesco, rome, italy
The v11's engineering, economics, and distinctive look is what attracted me to it. I am thinking of buying another. You will be very pleased

Thanks for directing me to the thread. I sent Tutle an email asking for a copy of the autocad drawing. :!:

Winter has set in with a vengence, so to pass the time I am planning a vacation to Italy and would appreciate any advice from those who either live there or have been. My general intent is to ride 3-4 days, take in the sights- art, natural beauty, women- buy some clothes, soak up the ambience, and drink high quality espresso untill I blow an artery.
Based on the prices of Italian motorcycles, clothes, and a can of Illy I am expecting prices to be high relative to the USD therefore I'll probably have to limit the trip to about 10 days. Although I want to experience it all, it might be better to focus on one or two areas for this trip. Any suggestions for areas and time of year?
Thanks
Bruce
My ... This trip must be the first of many... You already heard about the North and warnings of traveling in August, so I am putting in my vote for the central and South.
Abruzzo is the sleeper province - lots of Spanish and Roman ruins, restored castles, mountains and forests - very scenic, but not many tourists. Its capital is L’Aquila, great university city. If you go East 1 hour you are in Pescara, a port city with beautiful beaches. Northwest of Abruzzo are the provinces of Umbria and Tuscany. Rome is 2 hours away to the west and a little further west is Sardina – wonderful wines and cheese that aren’t on the mainland. Central Sadinia is mountainous a beautifully forested. Go North and you are in Corsica, France. Sicily has every ruin possible – Greek, Moor, Spanish, Roman, etc – beaches and a volcano

Sounds great. I am going to have to keep reading about your and Veck's outings, I am grounded until spring. I lost both of the bushings on the front cross-over and it is 3-4 weeks for the parts. No idea how it happend. Any ideas for substitute parts?

i have had it with the bridgestone tires . my front tire keeps cupping. and the rear does not last very long....
I am happy with the Bridgestones. I have somewhere between 11K and 13K (speedo broke) on them. I keep the pressure at 34/36 (psi front/back) when it is just me, and I boost it to 38/40 when I have luggage. I use the ventura system with two large packs (30lbs) and some other smaller pieces attached by velcro to the packs (adding 20lbs more). Everything sits over the seat and wheel. The front tire will be changed by mid-summer. I haven't done any track days, but I take the the opportunities the roads offer

Not to encourage you to sell your V11, but I'm interested what you're next bike will if/when you sell your V11?
Wouldn't think of selling, just adding another - ST4s maybe, while they are still around, a Tuono, Brutale S, BMW Boxster mod, or a KTM SD. I like to get on and go, so, I'd rent naked for two or three days and see how the ride changes. My only experience with naked bikes is in dirt.
Mike Stewart has a garage full of bikes... what's the bad about diversifying?

AFAIK there are some noticable differences in twin spark such as some economy on gas and increase of torgue and some PS (6-10% ), But personally have not tried it yet.
Dunno about US but here in Europe you can find very good specialists on the twin spark option(and more) for the Guzzi here
Perhaps you should drop some emails there and see IF and what can be done.
Alex - Thanks for the information. I emailed both to see what they offer. AFAIK??

OK then... As V50Man proposed and as ammended by DeBen --- no pictures of the owners, unless they meet the criteria.
