  1. From a 2004  Rosso Corsa. Slight damage from a gravel tip over, but is other wise in excellent condition. Tank only, no fuel pump or cap.

Unable to upload pics, but happy to email them to you.

  2. OP here... sorry to be so useless, the seller seems to be forward/honest, not your typical CL'er and genuinely love bikes, but not too schooled in all things Guzzi. The bike's cosmetics are a bit rough, but the price reflects that. For someone willing to devote the time and resources necessary it might not be a bad deal......

I can't speak for the authentically of the model (the valve covers are a possible issue) but the mileage is low, the price is reasonable and I would have nibbled more had I the resources and Guzzi connections here in SoCal.

If you have a particular question that I could answer, please feel free to contact me.

A side note... I'm not really "useless", my wife says I'm spectacular at holding up the wall while drinking beer,

  3. Looking at other's pics of their RC... yes, the valve cover should be red.

Kane, aside from some minor imperfections (paint nicks on left porkchop, dents in right canister) it seems to be relatively well preserved. Unfortunately and neurotically, I'm used to perfection in all things Guzzi. On top of that I had forgotten the difference in ergonomics between my previous 01 Sport and 04 Coppa and the LeMans. Priced 'bout right though.. but he might raise price now that Ive told him what an exclusive model he has. Nice fellow and easy to deal with, not like the drama Ive come to expect from Craigslist.

  4. cant upload pics.

The seller currently has it on Los Angeles Craigslist, incorrectly under 'Motorcycle Parts For Sale". He is going to move it to "Motorcycles for Sale" tomorrow, after Ive made my decision to purchase or not.

Im shying away from the purchase, so if anyone wants to short circuit me, no harm done.

If allowed Ill also post a link to his corrected ad once it done on CL.

  5. I just returned from a look at a 03 Rosso Corsa which I'm thinking of buying. Can anyone answer a few questions for me... please?

    1. Should there be a badge somewhere on the bike showing the special edition number?

    2. The Rosso I looked at had MG Ti exhaust canisters and ECU. Did these items come stock on the Rosso, or are these upgrades?

    TIA for any information.

!. Should there be a badge somewhere showing the limited edition number?

Thanks for any info, Ive owned a couple of V11 Sports but unfamiliar with the RC/NC editions...

  7. Hello all, can anyone recommend a shop in the Los Angeles area, specifically West L.A./Santa Monica/Malibu areas?

FWIW Im a longtime member here but since Ive been without a MG for several years Ive recently been inactive, but still lurking about! Now Ive the opportunity to pick up a 04 Cafe Sport, but Im reluctant since Im unfamiliar with the service network here in Los Angeles.

Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated!

    TIA, Joe

  8. Thanks all for welcoming words. Its always a pleasure to roam/lurk on this site! I do the same with other moto sites, but almost none have the friendly attitude and camaraderie displayed here!

sigh...How I miss my Guzzi days....

    Please! enough babbling :oldgit:

docc, you still owe me that beer!

Scud, one way or another lets meet up!!

Jaap, I wish I were truly back. Im w/o a motorcycle now (just sold my Tiger 800 XRx). Maybe the Gods will be kind enough to lead me to that 'just-right' 04 V11 I'm always searching for.

  9. Hello all. Longtime member here, but currently Guzzi-less.

Ive just returned from a three week trip to Italy. Covered Rome, Pienza, Sienna, Florence, Lucca, Vernazza. Cinque Terre and Venice. Cant say how much I enjoyed myself and how wonderful the Italians we met were. Suffice it to say Im planning to return sometime soon!

Anyway, the point of my post is this: I had expected to see Guzzis everywhere I turned my head, but only saw a couple of Stelvios, 4 or 5 V11 Cruisers, two dozen V7s, but .... ZERO V11 Sports/LeMans. How can this be? Here in the Santa Monica/Malibu area of California I could expect to see at least one V11 Sport/LeMans in three weeks!

Worse yet, I couldn't find any of you cheap bastards to buy me a beer!

Ah well...if anyone is ever in my area, look me up. Ill buy the first round!

  10. Shoot, Joe - I saw you posted on this thread and came looking for the pic of your new V11! ;)

Hey, if you don't mind, post that same offer in the V11 Fuel Tanks thread :

    http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19572

Docc...don't I wish! I come by here often to ogle these beautiful V11s and i often regret ever selling either of mine. ; > (

BTW I did post in the fuel tank thread.

Currently toying with the idea of trading off my 15 Triumph Tiger XRX to rejoin the flock!

  11. I have a 2004 Rosso Corsa gas tank if anyone in the Los Angeles, SF Bay Area or Sacramento area would like to borrow it for fabrication of an aluminum tank....

Note: this tank has the hole in the bottom for the fuel pump.

I'd prefer not to ship the huge thing.... but I travel fairly frequently to above areas.

Sadly, this is all that remains of my once powerful Guzzi empire ; > (

  13. Jaap... I haven't been active here for awhile so this thread caught me by surprise.

I'm glad you're staying on and hope the missed opportunity to sell this site eventually works in your favor. I'd also like to say that I fully appreciated your efforts during my active time, and hope you are still here when I return with another V11. The sooner the better!

  14. I've been torturing myself lately by going into Guzzi shops, looking for a V11 Sport...they're increasingly harder to find.

Anyway, short of a bike purchase I bought a bit of Guzzi swag, a nice 100% wool Guzzi pull over. The laundry tag needs a bit of deciphering though.

I got the first symbol... "Hand wash", but any ideas as to what the others mean?

BTW... If there is a prize for the LEAST Guzzi related post, I think I've earned it!

  15. Been awhile since my original post...but I still lurk in the shadows of this forum occasionally. Just checking to see that you miscreants are towing the line ; > ) Sad to say, still no Guzzi! I'm living in SoCal (Pacific Palisades) where the weather is always nice and the roads are incredible...especially the Malibu Canyon roads which are five minutes from my house. Although no Guzzi (yet) I recently bought the perfect bike for the technical canyon roads hereabouts. Single cylinder, H2O cooled, ABS, slipper clutch, 330 lb wet. Photobucket Pictures, Images and PhotosI also have a Honda NC700X...utterly reliable, utterly boring. Sometimes in a semi-drunken stupor, I imagine trading the Honda for a V11 Sport. And I just might !Occasionally I ride up to the "Rock Store" which is a famous Moto/car hang out. there it isn't unusual to see a gaggle of Lotus, Ferrari, and Mini Coopers about to take to the local roads. Of course the cages are sometimes a conflict with the motos, but they sure are interesting. Shortly before the BMW R90t (the new model, meant for customization) was released I saw three of them there. They had New Jersey (BMW North America) plates and were being driven by BMW test riders. (I asked if I could work for them! they're still thinking about it I guess) Point being, anything Moto related can be seen there, including Jay Leno who lives nearby.

I started this post to say "hello" but got a bit carried away....."Hello"
