  1. I inspected my front brake pads today, and discovered that one pad was significantly more worn that the other three. I was under the impression that the brakes would automatically distribute the braking force evenly.Does anyone know what might cause this?

    Thanks!

  2. How visible is that TrailTech Vapor in Sun and at night?

I like the simple installation :bier:

If you hook it up to your electrical system, then the back light will be on all the time. Nice bluish color that looks pretty cool at night. I haven't had any problems with seeing it in the daytime. Yeah, installation is a piece of cake. And I love the fact that you can hook it up to any electrical source - AC, DC, 12 volt, 6 volt whatever! My moped barely generates 6 volts at full throttle, much less at idle. The Vapor has no problem with it. The back light just goes on and off as the voltage changes!

Here's a photo of it mounted, so you can get a sense for how big it is:

  3. Can anyone tell me what is causing this leak? Right in the center of the photo, you can see a slow leak from that round thingy in the middle of the photo. This looks to me like the back side of the gear box, behind the starter motor. (I've never had one of these apart, so I'm not sure what I'm looking at).

This doesn't look like a simple gasket issue, so I don't know what approach to take.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

  4. There have been reports of the heat reflecting tape underneath the gas tank (it tends to peel off over time) getting sucked onto the filter and blocking it but so far the FBF/K&N filters have managed to keep it out of the motor. :P

I will vouch for that. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that was the problem until I had already dismantled half of my bike. :huh2:

It was then that I noticed the lines embedded in the heat shield, which matched the ridges of the air filter. :homer:

So I am happy with the performance of the FBF conversion, but now have to replace the heat shield with one that sticks. Oh, and the noise increase was not too noticeable...
