  1. How can I measure that cranking-thing?
  2. Sorry, I know. I'll drive you all nuts. But I was messed up and thought that another relais was the injection relais. Now I know better: the relais in the back is the injection relais and the one before that is de ecu-relais. I don't have one second of power, so I suspect the ECU. This week I can stick the ECU in another v11, so then I know for sure.
  3. Some new conclusions: -the fuses are ok; -both the ecu-relais and the injection relais have 12 volt on connection nr. 30; -the ecu-relais has also 12 volt on connection 87 if I turn the key; -this connection is connected with connection 85 of the injection relais. Also there's 12 volt too. -the other side of this relais (connection 86) is connected to the ecu (wire nr 19). The ecu should take care for ground on this connection? Thats not happening, on connection 86 is also 12 volt. -so that's the reason that there's no voltage on connection 87 from the injection relais: the connection to the pump etc. What should I do now?
  4. i'll concntrate on the fuelpump first... let you know if i find something.
  5. Yeah, checked the fuses. Before and after f2 there is 12 volt. There's also 12 volt on no. 30 and no. 87 of the relay. No. 87 is the connection to the pump, the injectors and to the coils. When use a wire directly from no 87 to the pump, the pump is running but still no firing when I start. There's also 12 volt on no 86 of the relay (to / from the ecu), but not on no 85. That's the connection to the ecu relay and the ecu. What is the ecu exacly doing with the coils, injectors and the pump? How is that relay working?
  6. Spent some time to check the cables and connections, but didn't see anything that was suspicous. Took the computer off the battry and back again for a reset, but nothing changed. Still no fuelpump and firing. So I'm still looking...
  7. Indeed, I put the tank off and know for sure now that I have no pump. The clicking was the fuel tap. And I measure no voltage at the pump. So now I'm checking again the fuses, the relays, the wiring, etc, etc. I'll already had the schematics.
  8. I'm not sure about the pump, it only clicks. I put a new one on it, just to test, and that one only clicks too. Is that enough, or should it make more noise?? Did check and change the relays, but that made no difference (the relays click also of course). And I didn't see or smell the fuel. But if the pump is not working there should still be firing I think when I put the sparkplugs on the cilinder??? Your link is very interesting. I will check it tomorrrow.
  9. Checked the battery, is fine. Startermotor goes round and round.
  10. I didn't use my v11 sport for several weeks and now it won't start. I first thought of the fuelpump or one of the realays, but it turned out that I have no firing. On both sparkplugs! Anyone an idea where to start? He (or is it a she?) just stood in the garage...
  11. Jaap, Maybe it's time to explain something about your mail. We all love this site! Huub
  12. Steffen, I certainly think they will help. You will now feel vibrations on other places of your bike: your footsteps! Of course these vibrations were always there, but you didn't mention until your bar ends are installed... But I think that's not a problem at all, becauase you have to feel that you're riding a Guzzi Huub
  13. I ordered the pair of heavier bar ends at Moto International (where our forum member Greg works) and I got them today. And they sure are heavy! My neighbour collected the package for me, because I wasn't home when the postman came by. And he was very curious: which part of your motorcycle is so small and also that heavy? I installed them immediately and went for a testride. And they work fine! Much less vibrations! I'm a happy man , thx Greg! Huub
  14. Joe, I once repaired a plastic tank with tank cure. Works great. It's an epoxy that you can poor in the tank. The only thing you have tot do is turn it around for some minutes and than wait several days until it's dry. see http://www.tankcure.nl Huub
  15. On this site http://www.thisoldtractor.com/gtbender/loopframe.htm you can find several workshop manuals. Huub
  16. Greg, Great! I would like to order a pair. Can I do that with you or should I contact Motor International? See also the massage I did send you. Huub
  17. Greg, they sure look fine! But I see that they are used with a mirror. Does that mean that there's always some space between the bar end and the grip? Or can you push them further in when you're not using such mirrors? Or are there maybe other types too? Huub Ken, never seen them before. Looks quite handy, if it's not raining... Do you know how heavy they are? Huub
  18. Indeed, lead shot is not easy available here. And another problem is that both my clipons aren't hollow inside on the full length. The right one is hollow for about 8 centimeters and the left one maybe for 3 or 4 centimeters. Not much lead will go in there, I think. Huub
  19. Hi Greg, I was on the site of moto international, but couldn't find a picture of it. How do they look? Price seems ok to me. You install them often on the v11's? Huub
  20. Sorry to re-introduce such an old topic. I'm looking for heavier bar ends (v11 sport from 2000) and after some research on this forum I think there are two options: the throttlemaster and the magic salamander. I think the salamander looks nicer, but on their site I read also that they will not fit in the aluminium bars???!!! Or do I get this wrong? Huub
  21. Friday I had my first ride on the Guzzi! No melting fuse anymore! but I still had to walk for half I mile...grrr. Back home I changed the rely of the fuel pump and yes... the v11 was running again. I was lucky that I had ordered some from Dan. So the bosch relay is now changed by the chinese one from Dan and I ordered a couple more. You will never know.... My first ride Friday was to the RDW in Zwolle, to get the bike inspected for registration in Holland. The guy there asked if I had painted it green myself, because he had never seen that color! But then he did the most important thing he had to do: to decide that the bike was ok for road use in the Netherlands. So in a few days they will send me the papers. (Of course only after I had payed the taxes (BPM) for importing the bike from Belgium). So, let's buy some exhaust pipes now that are a bit more noisy and... ride! Huub
  22. Yep, we can. But first I have to arrange the administration of the bike and do some things at the RDW. Because I bought the bike in Belgium. Huub
  23. Ok, then I gonna do the paperwork at the RDW and then... driving! huub
  24. Did a bit of research on this forum, think I found a simulary question. The answer then was: it's normal. All agree? Huub
