  1. Hello Again--Several folks have PM'd to say they looked but could not find the items in Ebay. The V11 is listed in Ebay Motors under Motorcycle: Moto Guzzi and the item number is 260416453791. The Convertibars are listed in Ebay Motors under Parts and Accessories; Motorcycle; British and European; Chassis Parts; Handlebars, levers and mirrors and the item number is 260416591309. Hope this helps and thanks for your interest!!
  2. Hello all you V-11 Lovers-- Just wanted to let all at the Forum know I just put my V-11 sport up for sale on Ebay. Like new and in red with only about a thousand miles on her. If you missed your chance to own a new V-11 this may be your chance all over again, or at least as close as you will probably get! Also have a new, never installed Convertibar kit complete with clutch and brake lines for V-11 on Ebay. Thanks for your interest--Rob
  3. Gorgeous and Rare Red Moto Guzzi V-11. Never down and never scratched. With Crash Bars, Factory Guzzi Fairing and Cover. Also available for separate purchase: ConvertiBar Kit complete with new hoses; Matching Red as-new Shoei RF-1000 Helmet in size Large. $7,000 Firm. Pic does not seem to be uploading, but you can see picture on the map under Rob in Houston. Thanks for looking.
  4. Hello all-- I bought the '04 V11 Sport from Saggio (you can find his intro down the page in July '07). Have had many bikes in the past but always been fascinated by Guzzi's so I finally have one! My favorite bikes looking back on it have been big twins (Norton Commando I had back in the '70s) or singles (a Suzuki DRZ400 I have now) and that bodes well for my attachment with the Guzzi. This Summer I hope to be moving back to Central Coast of California so am looking to alot of great riding to come. Thanks in advance for all your help!! --Rob
  5. Hi all-- Still searching for a riser solution for my V11. As there are more solutions for Ducati with 53mm forks, I'm wondering if anyone has tried that on their Guzzi with 54mm forks? Seems like 1mm could be accounted for in adjustment. But am I missing something here? Thanks...
  6. Need Adjustable Clip-Ons or Risers for my '05 V11 Sport with bikini fairing. Anyone have anything pre-owned they want to sell or if you have any great suggestions, I'm open to that too!! Thanks!! -- Rob
  7. I was told by Jean-Marc that I was on the list for this production of his adjustable clip ons and would be getting information at "the end of the week". That was two weeks ago. Sent him an email-- No Response. Anyone else heard from him? Anyone else think they ordered? Anyone know WTF is going on?
  8. It's been a couple of months now, has anyone tried these with Clip Ons? Can you report back? I have a V11 Sport and this looks like an interesting economical solution. But would be nice to hear from someone who has tried it.
  9. Buy any V11 that grabs your soul, and you won't be disappointed. Truly the only way to disappoint yourself with one of these bikes is to waste another season playing "What about this one?" instead of taking the plunge and getting in the saddle. Mario and Garsdad---Dont worry, no playing for this dude. My gut told me exactly what you both put into words nicely.... I am now sitting in a hotel room outside Seattle after a 13hr drive, trailer behind pickup to pickup my 'new' 04 Guzzi Naked with fairing (yep the one on Ebay). And for all that advised me against changing the ergonomics willy nilly.... I promise to wait. Not a total stranger to the "cafe" position as a lifetime ago I bought a Norton in London and rode the hell out of it all over the UK. So maybe the MG will just feel like old home week. Anyway, I brought my helmet and cant wait to give this new beast a go tomorrow!
  10. Thanks to all who have responded so far. Sound like I'm on the right track, then, in terms of staying with a Sport Naked, Cafe Sport or Ballabio. Joe's steer to the FAQ on the various V11 changes was very helpful, as I had not seen that before. From that FAQ, I take it that the height of drivetrain refinement for the V11 came in 2003 and that there would be some plusses in staying with an '03 '04 or '05 bike that has the exhaust crossover. From other reading, I also understand that many folks who own the Cafe Sport and Ballabio have removed the unusual frame mounted fairing as being too 'buffetty' and replaced it with a fork mounted type.
  11. Hi--Although new to Guzzi's I have been riding bikes for 42 years (gawd that sounds like I'm ancient....). Always been intrigued by MG's and am in the looking stage now, but so many questions!! I am down to looking at either a V11 (only those with all the latest/greatest engine and tranny improvements) -- OR -- one of the new type Breva, V12 Sport, Norge. If I bought a V11 other than a Ballabio or Cafe Sport, I know I would need to change the riding position. I think this will eliminate the LeMans and its variants, because the change to real honest to gosh handlebars (as outlined elsewhere) is too limited by the fairing. OK... so I BELIEVE that leaves me with a V11 Sport Naked or a Ballabio or a Cafe Sport, as contenders in the V11 camp. I think the Ballabio and Cafe Sport had the latest (V11) engine/tranny improvements. I know the Cafe had the Ohlins, the Ballabio does not. So first question--What years of the V11 Sport Naked had the latest engine/tranny improvements? Which (if any) V11 Sports Naked had the Ohlins? Second question--boy this is loaded asking it on the V11 forum I guess!--Are there any advantages of a new model Breva etc over a V11 (once the riding position on the V11 is sorted out)? Personally I dont like the looks of the new models, but I have not seen in person. Also, I have read comments here about them being soul-less. But if they are more sorted out, more rideable, better handling, more comfortable, have more torque, or something, that would trump looks. Any input is appreciated!!
