  1. You have to remove the top yoke of the triple tree.

I did it 6-7 years ago, so I am sketchy on the details, but....

Remove..or drop the clipons (there's a bolt underneath as well as the clamp bolts)

Loosen up the dash and the keyswitch (don't remember what I did but it was straight forward)

Loosen the top triple clamp and lift up. You might need to help it with a rubber mallet.

The steering head bearings nuts are just castle nuts, aren't they?

There are a nut cover on the top yoke. I dont know how to remove it.

  2. I have a Ducati 749 and temperature air sensor is located on front noise. No change in temperature despite the velocicty. The Guzzi V11 have the sensor on box air and the heat from motor changes the temperature. If you have high vel them low temp. , low vel. give high temp. What do you think change sensor position?

  3. May be two injections per stroke? the first inject more fuel than first?

I had a poor idle if tps set 150mv. If you see the front cylinder table, idle inject 21us. I modified to 24

Now I have a perfect idle. I dont modified the rear cylinder fuel table.

  4. Differences of timing and flow.

One of the cylinders, I forget which one, has to work a little harder. It has something to do with power cycles following different degrees right to left, and also interaction of crossover flow in the airbox and in the exhaust crossover(s).

I don't know which is a greater factor.

Others could answer the question better...

I myself am also curious as to why.[/quote

  5. Jose,

this V11 is not running very well, is it?

I bought it a few days. It have a accident( head guard, brake lever, right side, no mufles).

Sorry, I dont understand " running very well". I am not running yet. I am from Brazil. My english is not good.

Is the first time that I see a Guzzi. Great Machine

  6. Jose, I was hoping someone would step and put things right, but I'll tell you what I have found. The on-line parts manual I typically use is backwards of my bike. The shop manual has it correct. The shorter piece with two grease fittings connects to the bevel drive. The longer bit with one grease fitting to the tranny. There is much to be frustrated about with the shop manual however. It is vastly conservative in its recommendation to replace the shaft at 20,000k. Just grease it really well, being cautious to do it slowly so as to preserve the seals.

    Thanks

you can see my v11 on
