  1. Hi tmcafe and savagehenry, Thanks for your replys the push push pull method worked a treat, thank goodness I asked for advice as I am sure I would have given those couplings a severe headache had I not done so. What a great site for a newbie Guzzi owner a wealth of information on tap. Magic Thanks again Ride safe Johno
  2. Hi all, Need a little bit of advice and hope this doesn`t sound like a dumb question by need to remove/clean or replace air filter and have found on this site removal instructions which are fairly straight forward but I have one question and that is removal of fuel line(s). Are the fuel line couplings a straight twist to get them off or do they need to be pushed in and then twisted. Dont want to damage coupling through ignorance or heavy handedness. Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks Johno
  3. Hi Stu, I live on the North shore of Auckland, easy access to good biking roads both north and south. Visited Esquimalt ( I think that is now you spell it) Canadain Naval base just out of Vancouver back in my Navy days, throughly enjoyed your country in the short time i spent there Johno Ride safe
  4. Hi, Thankyou gentlemen for your input as the bike has only done 6000kms it is still on the BT020`s I have left pressures as handbook listed and did a 300km ride yesterday on variety of motorway, sweepers and twisties ( haven`t had so much fun with my pants on for a long time) with no dramas so will leave them as they are and revisit it when I replace them no doubt with a set of Z6`s which I have found with other bikes to be a good sport touring tyre with good longevity. This is my first Guzzi and I have got to say this bike as SOUL and is a hoot to ride but then you seasoned Guzzi owners already know this so forgive the ramblings of a newbie owner Johno Ride Safe
  5. Hi, Have purchased a 2003 v11 Lemans this week and on reading the manual note that the tyres pressure recommended are 2.2 bar and 2.4 bar for front and rear respectively having converted this to psi (nearest whole unit) as 32 front and 35 rear the bike is fitted with 120 front and 180 rear. Is the manual correct ? pressures seem on the low side in comparison to jappers (36/42) with same tyre configuration. Would appreciate advice from more seasoned guzzi owners Many thanks Johno Ride safe
  6. Hi All, Thanks for welcome and for you Slavomir had a couple of 175cc 2 strokers which was used entirely for commuting around city. I got both bikes really cheap and used one for parts because parts were hard to get around that time.Simple to work on and really very reliable. Thanks Johno
  7. Hi all, I picked up my 2003 V11 Le Mans today, it wasn`t registered until 2006 and only has 6000kms (3750 miles) and just like new. I pondered this purchase for quite a few weeks and during this period visited this site many times and was impressed with the depth of knowledge available and also how freely it was given and how helpful members were. This was partly the cause of my eventual purchase coupled by the fact I that I was grinning throughout both test rides. I have been riding bikes since I was 15 years old so thats about 48 years worth and bikes have included early English bikes a couple of Jawas and the remainder have been Japanese, however this is my first Guzzi, I also have a 2006 Honda VFR800. Have a feeling this Guzzi is going to be a long termer. Ride safe
