  1. Close guys...it's a '78 I've been working on for a coupla' months. It's bored to 540cc and 12.5-1 compression piston and mild porting for WFO throttle thru a modified Mikuni carb set up for WFO thru a open megaphone. Rearsets, dragbars and dunstall fender finish the appearance off nicely. This 275 lb. scooter pumps out near 50 ponies and is geared properly to top the "ton" all while pulling like a freight train. Everything was done "in house" with the exception of the boring the cylinder to piston but the engine work, paint, seat(base is from an aluminum stop sign)was done by me. Fun to ride...this is the bike to bet on from stoplight to stoplight! Enjoy more photos at:

  2. I'm begging ya' pleeeeaaasssseeee steal my bike, cause I've got a video camera ready to show ya' what a fool ya' are after he lets go of ya! No really, I just had my truck window broken out by some low life **-_%#*sucker who stole nothing but the paperwork outa' my glovebox...he didn't even bother with my ALPINE stereo...dumbass. I recommend everyone get one of these "bike locks", they make good friends too!

  3. Hey Staedtler-I'll be heading that way on the 22nd(saturday). I haven't decided whether I'll take the Supertwin or my flat track Yamaha SR-540.

    Photos from last harvest-

  4. Hey JRT-my shop is located in San Marcos and your gramma is right, it was a beautiful day here in central Texas. I was lucky enough to score 3-day pass for the Austin City Limits festival...what a rockout. The show

  5. My brother is an official with the AMA/FIM working the start/finish grid at Seca and today he calls me screaming into his cell phone "ya gotta hear these bikes" so I place the phone to my ear and heard exactly what I thouhgt I would hear upon my timely demise...pure ecstatic joyful noise!!! If I died tomorrow this is the sound I wanna hear passing thru the white light into the abyss. Now Nicky does have a chance in this fray, we've all seen him back the rear end around on turn 2, he does know this track well and is suits him well, but so does Colin! We, the very lucky citizens of the US ARE the winners in that GP racing is back with a vengeance. :helmet::notworthy:

  6. UMMMMMMMMMM-Austin, but the bowl is FULL and spilling over as it has been since '94. Millions of Californians have moved here since the Northridge earthquake and it hasn't stopped yet! Oh yeah, there is one Guzzi here in Austin, actually I know quite a few Guzzisti here.

  7. I think I just stained my pants, I really like those pics of the Mondial you have too, Is it yours? I must start to get some wonderful toys of my own.  :P:

The Mondial Piega was a hard bike to sell..it now resides in the hands of Evoluzione motorcycles. This cycle was the best handling bike I've ever had the pleasure of riding, and I've ridden alot of 'em.

  8. What-you thought a 1225cc 4-valve could't whip a 2-valve 900cc on a closed course? How did the MGS-01 get entered into a class of smaller displacement/lower powered bikes in the first place....I'd like to see the rulebook.

Also, what model Suzuki is entered into the race to have such a pitiful showing?

This weeked at Barbers the GSXR-1000 "mopped" up the field, obviously they are not racing that model in Italy! I still want to see the MGS-01 pitted against the smaller displacement Ducati 999"r", there would be no 10 second win IMHO. You take accolades where ya' can get 'em, I guess!
