That was my initial inquest on Wild Guzzi and all he help I received from everyone was just great. As many sated over there, it seems to be an every 10-12 thousand mile deal for many bikes and not for others. But with all the help you can get around these forums (and the great people on them), nothing is too hard to figure out eventually!!

I have just read through your posts on Wild Guzzi. It seems you had a bit of a game with gearbox! I was lucky because I new mine was in 1st gear when it broke, so the selector plate was in 1st with the two dots aligned when I removed it. I checked the operation of the gears 1-N-23456 before replacing. I can fully understand how folks become intrigued with this job. I felt like
I wouldn't mind trying the job again but hopefully it won't be for a while!
