I've had the same problem on my 04 Le Mans although mine will do it hot or cold. Like gmorty I've checked the relays, the wiring under the tank battery voltage, etc. Turning the bars to full right lock sometimes helps but not always. Good luck and if you figure it out please post.

Thanks for the help. After a few "taps" with the screwdriver and adjuster I realized the airbox was going to have to come out which is what I was trying to avoid. Turned out to not be as hard as I'd thught. I'll do a search for an online manual. I've brought the top clamp up to 25mm and will test ride before making more changes. Again, thanks for the help.

Greetings,I've been searching the forum for answers to a couple suspension questions but no luck. I recently purchased an 04 Le Mans and I'm having trouble with setting the preload on the rear shock. With the way the rear subframe covers the top of the shock I can't get a tool on the adjustment ring. Suggestions please. Second, the triple clamps have been lowered on the forks and the clipons have been changed out for a flat bar so I don't know what the original position was. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure for distance from the top of the fork tube to the top clamp? Finally, thanks to the forum for directions on gas tank removal. Those saved the day.
