Thats exactly what happened only this guy drilled and reamed for a threaded steel plug but didn't "dutch pin it" so it just goes round n round nevermind the mess and embarrassment it leaves behind.

 

I'm going to machine a new plug out of alum. and have a bead welded around it. End of leak!!!!!

I,m quite happy with the stock MG bag,use a good carnuba wax prior to putting it on. Although i,m not a fan of the strap type bags these do not scratch or scuff the tank and can carry quite alot of stuff.
