I see edwards near the top of these all the time but he doesn't seem to finish a race so high nearly as often. too bad I like the guy, I'd still like a 2004 RSVR factory edwards edition Link to comment

No 800 machine has matched the fastest qualifying lap from the 990 era. You also wrote, "top 3 already faster than Rossi's best race lap last year" So was Valentino slow when racing a Qatar last year? Race lap, yes. However, Stoner turned in a 1:55 and change in qualifying last year on the 990.
