quick question - bar ends

Done a search and read different answers. Can anyone give me the definitive answer?

 

Bar ends - 22m or 7/8? for a v11 sport (2003), or are they so close that both will fit?

The outside diameter of the stock Guzzi bars is 22mm which is about .01" smaller than 7/8". As for what bar ends will fit, it depends on how they attach. The stock bar ends on my '02 screw into the end of the bars that are tapped to I think an M18x1 thread.
