grossohc Posted July 4, 2013 Share Posted July 4, 2013 Just bought a new regulator rectifier unit, before i connect it to the harness i would like to clean up the connections in the plug/ socket as they are looking decidedly iffy, is there a way to get the metal connectors out of the plastic casing so i can clean them up. AndyH Posted July 4, 2013 Share Posted July 4, 2013 Out of interest, is the standard OEM replacement Regulator/Rectifier or is it some other make (e.g. Electrex)? That may make a difference as to what is recommended: Electrex offer their own wiring suggestion which I'd recommend you follow. The OEM connection back to the battery (both Ground and Live) is pretty feeble at the best of times and there are plenty of posts elsewhere in this forum recommending how you can beef them up.
