hang tenni Posted February 19, 2004 Share Posted February 19, 2004 I am a recent Guzzi owner seeking advice on how to clean and protect (wax, seal, etc) the matte finish on my tank and body parts, as well as how to clean the infamous black wrinkle paint on the engine so as not to disturb it. thanks! Guest SoCal Nick Posted February 20, 2004 Share Posted February 20, 2004 Either Hondabrite spray or Plexus on plastic & any gloss paint. Silicon spray on the Matte. For engine wheels etc - S100 or the Honda stuff. I believe the Honda cleaner is made by S100, only a dollar cheaper. Don't use Armour all, wax, etc on your matte paint. It will make it shine. Motomonster Posted February 20, 2004 Share Posted February 20, 2004 I have a matte finish Stone, and I use a fine polishing compound to remove dirt and scuffs, and polish it with Plexus. Guest IanJ Posted February 20, 2004 Share Posted February 20, 2004 I think the best advice for keeping the bubble-paint clean is to keep all cleaning products and devices away from it. Anything that touched one of those bubbles would crack it, which led in short order to it all flaking away and leaving shiny black exposed.
