I see that there is some red-coloured sealant used by the factory to seal the ignition timing pickup. Do I need to use anything special when re-sealing the pickup? Chris B. RacerX Posted November 17, 2004 Share Posted November 17, 2004 I have an oil leak at the ignition timing pickup. A sealant such as Yamabond or Permatex liquid gasket is what I've used.
