I,ve had my Workers Comp benefits cut for a bunch of reasons that I don't want to go into .

Anyway for the last 5 months I've been working at McDonalds with a retarded guy. Everytime I start cooking he starts screaming " me place "

DAT ME PLACE, ME PLACE !

I know I should have some compassion , but this guy is getting on my nerves I would really like to slap the $hit outta him .

I've thought of going to the manager ,but it's not easy for an old person to get a job.

What would you do ?

Dang, that would drive me nutz.

Look for another job or start your own business.

Burger King, Phone customer service, Motorcycle shop customer service, Computer assembly/repair, Internet, Porn, handyman, comedian, motorcycle messenger, eBay re-sale, etc.

A man of Tx computer skills would be non-threatening as an instructor. The money is in porn, though. :huh2: But please- no samples.

Definitely, find another job. Slapping a kid (even if he does deserve it) is a losing proposition.

What about courtesy driver for an auto dealership? Get to drive around Houston all day (woo hoo).

can't slap the kid, life's tough enough already .

I gotta believe that if the kids buggin you, then he bugs other people too. The manager has to make accomodations for have a employee with special needs, and those accomodations have to include providing an environment where his needs/skills fit in with the rest of the employees. If he's disruptive, then the manager should put him in a position in the store where he's more effective.

I'd talk to the manager.

Hi TX,

A experienced truck driver can provide training for new ones, some community colleges have driving schools, one example is Galveston College....

MacDonalds is bad enough without the intellectually challenged co-worker...

Be patient with the guy, he is in the right place, and you can and will move on.

Mean tieme get your MG and relax after the day's work :race: .

(Just do not get speed tickets, today I 45 hiway was looking like a police parade and the feast of tickets... )

I guess it's because the 'tard is hispanic & when his family comes to pick him up nobody can speak Englessh . I feel if I complain they will get rid of me . It's easier to to get rid of me than it would be to get rid of a retarded illegal alien..

Fast food jobs are not hard, but they CAN be stressful at times. The common concensus is that anyone who works in fast food is automatically dumb, but lemme tell you, I find the customers to be the the real retards. For starters, they're actually paying full price for the fat patties we crank out. Another, half the time they get to the speaker and are like "Uhhh....uhhh, gimme a minute. Sometimes I think we should have a menu board a mile down the road so the customers know what to order by the time they get there.

If you ever get through East Tx look me up . I like to hook my friends up with customised burgers :food:

Update! okay so a buddy of mine( Thanks Todd ) hooked me up with a guy who is like a car dealer or some or soem shit anyway I phoned him about a job detailing cars.

he aksed me a few questions

do you have a lisence?

have you had expericne with cars before?

have you ever tinkered with cars?

I have my lisence but suck at parkign and I would probably be doing alot of movine cras around waxing cleaning blah.

I took a shoip class in grade 10 so I know a bit about the engines but as far as electrical and "tinkering" not soo good.

I'm just looking for any advice on how to not look dumb, I really want the job and it sounds prety good because the paY SHOULD BE GOOD AND ITS NOT FAST food.

P.s. I should have used a spell checker

Just settle down and you will soon accept the new culture; who knows, when the next guy is hired you may find yourself saying "me place, dat's me place" too.
