Other than polishing the paint, any suggestions on prevention? Are there after market leather bras type gismos available? I like to keep my bike mint. big unit Posted October 25, 2005 Share Posted October 25, 2005 I know this does not help, but the factory paint on my 2000 V11 has a very thin coat, more like a film of paint than a coat. And because of this when you get a scratch it can not be polished out. er and as Rocketman suggests the tankslapper is excellent, I have this applied to my tank.
