Clutches: options

Hello Guzzies,

Was just thinking about the next project bike / track tool.

And I was thinking something in the lines of a Daytona

5 speed machine. Which is all fine and dandie, except...

After ridding my v11 so much this last year, the idea of

going back to a heavy "Cable" clutch just seems, well,

is un-inviting. Those Hydro. Clutch on the v11 are so nice,

and make Guzzi shifting alot easier (That long throw into the next gear).

And since I'm thinking of building a track bike, she'll probly

have heaver clutch springs to boot.

I'm thinking hydo. kit for the clutch.

I've seen the one M.G. Cycles offers, it seems nice, but

it also seems like a Band-Aid. Half hydo and half cable.

Has anyone used these on there bikes?

Does it work? Or is there an alturnitive system?

Let me know, so I can start planing this project out.

Thanks to all.

Peace, rubberside down,

Jedione68

Talk to RacerX (Todd Eagan), he has been using a hydrolic unit from MG cycles for some time now. I think he had a write up at Guzzitech.com. He did mention that the lever action was quite reduced. I have installed one on my V1100 project but have not had the chance to make the bike rideable yet.

How are ya feeling? Everything heeling O.K.

P.S. There is a thread about Ghezzi-Brian v11/1100 engine Mods.

I spilled my guts on it, but told the thread "starter" to track you down,

being that you'd know first hand.
