wambiker Posted February 27, 2006 Share Posted February 27, 2006 Hi just a few pictures to show the alterations to the rear end of my 2000 naked. Like other threads I've read, I hated the acres of black plastic at the back end of my bike. I don't mind altering things to make a bike my own, but like them to be reversable if possible. So with this in mind, I created a bracket from stainless sheet that would bolt on to the original 3 bolt support for the rear guard, decided to paint it black rather than polish it, but this could change if the paint wont stay on. I used an led tail light, it was the right size and shape and i liked it, and a set of halogen bulbed small arrow indicators to replace the large guzzi ones. This will all help me to mount a set of krauser panniers as everything is well tucked in and I can use the same 3 bolt mounting to crate a rear mount for the pannier rails to pick up on.
