andy york Posted April 26, 2003 Share Posted April 26, 2003 I seem to have developed an oil leak behind the cover on the front of the motor.Looks like a stator coil behind the cover. I would assume that there is a crankshaft seal behind it of some sort?How diffcult might this be to replace and what is involved? Guest Jeff Kelland Posted April 26, 2003 Share Posted April 26, 2003 I had an oil leak at the front of my 02 lemans at 2400 miles, the dealer put a new front crank seal in under warranty. 1200 miles later it is still dry.I have read about this problem on this sight and others, so it is probably pretty common.
