I went to order it at Motorcycel Accessory Warehouse, and they have all these tires in my size: (01576) $82.95 Bridgestone BT020 120/70B17 Front Tire "B" Mfg.#: 057537 (01579) $75.95 Bridgestone BT020 120/70ZR17 Front Tire Radial Mfg.#: 039364 (19190) $82.95 Bridgestone BT020 120/70ZR17 Front Tire Mfg.#: 085901 (04504) $82.95 Bridgestone BT020 120/70ZR17 N Tubeless Front Tire Mfg.#: 000961 (34683) $106.95 Bridgestone BT020 120/70ZR17 "E" Front Tire Mfg.#: 070593 (34684) $106.95 Bridgestone BT020 120/70ZR17 "NN" Front Tire Mfg.#: 071630 See the letter codes "B", "E", "NN", etc.? Duncan Posted June 13, 2006 Share Posted June 13, 2006 I would have to agree with the others who said there are much better tires out there than the BTO 20's. I just finished putting 100 miles on my new Michelin Pilot Powers and the improvement in comfort and handling will far outweigh the reduction in mileage. I would go for 04504 because it states "Tubeless". If you call them and ask if 01579 is suitable for tubeless fitment and they say it is go for that and save $30 over the dearest options. Like a blackbird that has very high speed, and weight. 91860[/snapback] Ok, but I have always thought that provided the tyre is the correct size and speed rating and is the correct pairing for the rear there should be no problem. If it was me I would just go for the cheapest ZR option in this list. I found Diablos let a lot of uncomfortable road vibration through when I had them on my SV650. Given the Guzzi suffers slightly from this with the 020, I would hesitate to put Diablos on it as they were much worse by comparison on the SV. I never found the limits of the 020. Maybe I'm a wuss. The 020 might have decent traction, but the problem with that tire (as most here would agree) is that it gives terrible feedback. With the Diablo you could feel everything the wheel was doing - the downside is that it is tiring to ride on poor surfaces for a long period with them. With the 020 you can't noticeably feel the roughness of the road. I think for sport or track riding the Diablo would be better, but as a distance tyre where you want comfort I take an 020 anytime. In any event, I wouldn't buy tires from MAW, they have closeout and overrun tires. you'll find them either a bit old or a bit out of balance; at least that was my experience with their tires. I haven't tried the BT014 but everything I've used has been an improvement over the 020s. I'm about to try the Diablos on the V11, I've been very happy with them on my Ducati.
