jrt
There's been one instance of a poor coating job resulting in flaking. I don't know which company, but it wasn't jet hot®. I bring this up to suggest that you look into various companies and how well they do the job.
al_roethlisberger
Yep, the entire system will coat just fine. I've never heard of a failure(premature anyway) of the coating, and based on my dealings with Jet Hot, I'm sure they would make it right. BTW, although I personally recommend Jet Hot, you may want to check around locally to see if anyone coats in your area. It might be less expensive, and more convenient.... especially in picking out the color/finish you desire. Good luck
quazi-moto
Thanks. Since I have the Staintune cans I'd really like to go ahead and get the headers and x-pipe coated. Its mostly an aesthetic thing, but there's quite a contrast between the polished Staintunes and the blue/purple/straw colors on the header pipes.
