waspp Posted September 2, 2006 Share Posted September 2, 2006 My speedo quit working after 1000 miles on the current cable so i bought a new cable and and added the old one to my collection. No problems MPH got one here asap and all was well, but after about a 100 miles I noticed the odometer stopped working! I took the speedo out and gently removed the plastic ring which holds in the "plastic"glass and pulled out the parts that really matter. The drive worm gear for the trip and odo decided to loose its splines, almost smooth! I don't know if it can be repaired or not, the speedo works fine but no trip or odo is not how I like it. This is one of the newer black faced gauges made by ITI ? Does anyone know of a replacement that would work? I did find a used one but I am a little gunshy of buying the same junk! I realize metal and glass is heavy but come on...a little less plastic please! waspp Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
