I've always been curious to know how to move to such a lovely place? I'm assuming you live in the EU, so living there is not a legal issue,,,,,and are financially 'stable'?? Steve Spain has been hurt bad like everywhere else due to fraudulent bankers, but it is worth it for the mountains weather and the beer is still cheap. 34% of the population are not spanish, still plenty of folk with pots of money (probally bankers)

What's the diving like there? Anything to see or has it been so touristed & fished out for so long [millenia] that there's nothing left to see but rocks & algae? not tried diving yet but will get back to you plenty dive centers snd plenty fish nice clean sea so guess it's okay, used to live on the red sea so diving will never be the same but i hear that it's pretty poor now compared with when i was there

Roads are brilliant especially the mountains, you can get a ferry from Barcelona so a rally is not out of the question!

There must be something wrong when people as committed to Guzzi as you are feel so alienated from the recognised national club? After founding the guzzi branch in Scotland in 1977 I too find most MGGB club members very cliquey been to a few events where they have been positivly rude don't have anything to do with the club anymore, the forum is full of anoraks

well after owning a Scura for some years now a few observations, tyre choice likes nice soft ones, steering damper worth removing makes slow speed handling much better. Suspension set up crucial far too soft out of box, although the previous owner of mine had it set up too hard. I ride to work on a very tight road, lots of curves handling superb but you have to be on top of it at all times, better riden hard in speeds in excess of the legal limit. Had an intresting ride this year with a well sorted Buell was surprised at his inability to keep up, not the rider he is quite mad. Likes high octane fuel, improves with miles, lighter flywheel which improves Guzzi's of all ages, my V7 sport is still better than the later bikes due mostly to the lighter flywheel. Fab brakes on Scura makes you braver!

Can I suggest the Isle of Skye we can get both cammping and hotel and hostel accommodation at The Sligichan hotel. They have an on site brewery and good facilities, I also know the owner so would be easy to arrange.
