  4. Hi, nothing in the wheel is turning. It is only the big bevel gear (#29) that is spinning on its shaft
  5. 2004 Ballabio with close to 40K. Pretty sure this is not supposed to do this. I thought it was the clutch at first, but the driveshaft turns while in gear but the rear wheel doesn't. I pulled my rear box off and found the 32 bevel gear spins on its axis. Did I shear a key? Has anyone seen this before? I don't drag race all the time... I haven' been able to find the part. I may buy a complete assembly and rebuild. Does anyone have any thoughts? thanks in advance. VID_20210118_151646469.mp4

  12. Yes. But I have to jump fast, which I normally do not do. I will hear about 3 to 4 valve clicks as I rocket out in front, then it goes away. I assume that the oil is sloshed back during the initial acceleration and the engine is starved for an instant. I hope the Roper plate will alleviate this. Hey, I lane split here at every light and I have to get out in front. Sometimes I have to drag race.
  13. That takes us to about 20 plates. Not meaning to turn this into too much of a tech thread, but are you assuming that fast starts are starving your engine of oil and contributing to some sort of mechanical noise? Hi ScudI can occasionally hear a little valve chatter if I take off too fast. It only lasts a second. I usually slow down before the red light comes on.

  16. I visited my local Triumph/Ducati dealer to inquire a tire change. the gentleman said there would be extra labor $$$ to deal with the shaft drive. I haven't yet removed the rear wheel myself, but it looks easier than dealing with a chain. Any thoughts? -thanks Anthony
  17. I wear Tour Master Response SC Road Boots. They have a laces under the giant velcro flaps. Very easy to get on and off. I wore them camping at Laguna Seca and even played frisbe without any discomfort. They have ankle protection which I haven't tested yet.
  18. That was the intention. Now that I look at the explosion diagram again, I'm not sure.
  19. I just completed a successful test drive. All six gears nice and smooth. The culprit was the 13mm nut (red arrow & red dot). This seems to be a prawl stop. The cam will stop the prawl just at the right point. Attached are photos. red dot= adjustment cam thing green and blue dots= points on the prawl to show position and how the cam stops each direction of movement. It's true, a few degrees rotation will stop up or down shifts. Anthony

  21. Hi, mine is a 04 Ballabio. I just replaced the prawl spring (MG Cycle). After a few tries, I managed to get the cover back on by aligning the four shift pins to the gear slots. Now I have 1st, neutral, 2nd, and with some wiggling, 3rd, and no others. Would the new spring warrant an adjustment to the eccentric adjuster (big acorn nut thing)? Additionally, there is a 13mm nut that connects to an off center shaft that resides over the back of the prawl arm. I turned this and could not remember what setting it originally was. What is this? I have to take the cover off again and add some sort of liquid gasket because of a leak. Is there some adjustment I can do while inside? Thanks, Anthony
