Neutral Sensor/switch

Recommended Posts

I replaced Neutral Sensor/switch in left hand  side of gearbox a couple of months ago because it was leaking from the plastic end.

This solved the leak but now neutral light comes on when in gear and goes out when in neutral ( the opposite to what is meant to happen.)

Is it likely to be just a faulty switch( Cheap at $20 odd) or an electrical problem?

Old switch worked fine.

From memory normally the earth is made when the plunger is extended. Sounds like yours is the reverse. Put a meter on it and depress the plunger and compare it to the original.
