(Sigh.) While it is quite possible to improve the fuelling above and beyond the factory mapping adding any of these *Magical* widgets is an utter waste of time and money. The 15M and 15M RC ECU's have been an open book for well over a decade and modifying the maps is a far more accurate and useful way of going about things than adding some shitty little resistor to deliberately screw up sensor inputs.

Just say no to hocus-pocus! You know it makes sense!

I know it is possible to improve the stock mapping and that might be the next step.
as of now I am glad I went from a crappy unrideable bike to a very smiling riding bike .

Yank that sucker:D !!   If you haven't already, I'd pull the dipstick and see if it smells of the gas from overfueling.:2c:

    Bingo !!!!!

the oil smelled like there was gas in it .

dropped the pan and replaced filter and oil and of course new spark plugs.

taken the piece of …… ( tuner) off my bike .

started the bike and she runs beautifully.

ad to do a few adjustments but now it’s another animal compared to what it was before.

I still don’t understand why someone would add a piace of crap “ tuner” to a bike that runs good from the factory.

    oh well….
as soon as it cools down a bit I am gonna check the plugs .

    thank you all

  3. Good day everyone.

after following the decent tune up instructions found here my 2002 Le Mans still runs like crap .

way too rich the plugs are black.

the distinguished previous owner installed this Techlusion TFI thing ….which no matter what I do It makes the bike runs too rich.

if I just remove it ?

Is the 02 ECU ( believe is the 15M) good  enough, right?

I don’t really like PC bla bla bla… I am not a computer guy and the 02 throttle body efi seems so simple I don’t want to mess with it.

i thought the bone stock factory ecu should be good enough…. Am I correct?

Let me know what do you think

    thank you

Some balance tools also have a "storage" setting that blocks the vacuum pathway in the tool. My Motion Pro mercury sticks have this. There is a hose that has to be physically moved from a blocked port to an open port on the back of the tool.

Mine is the white and blue with 4 columns.

i have a picture but it’s too large to be posted .

It’s sold for about 100 bucks or the usual websites.

I will try to play with it .

    thank your again.

    Hi, Marco!

So, first, screw in the left side idle stop screw until it bumps the linkage slightly open (you'll come back to that in the last step to set the final idle).

Start the motor an use the twist grip to bring the rpm up to 2000-3000, then use the white knob to equalize the vacuum on the balancing tool.

Some of these balancing tools have a "sensitivity" setting and some use restrictors to connect to the vacuum ports on the intakes. (It is connected to the intakes just ahead of the throttle bodies?)

Yes the vacuum tool is connected to the intake right before the heads.

I set the engine to idle around 1100 and tool didn’t show any fluid coming up through the column.

i revved the engine to see if someone fluid will show up but  didn’t .

i will try again from scratch.

bike runs great especially after tps setting but I can tell the throttle bodies are not sync

thank you for the help… will report back.

btw the v11 engine is awesome 😃

  6. Hello all !!

2002 Le Mans , followed the instructions found here for a decent tune up.

valve adjustment, tps setting etc etc.

I am using a motion pro tool to balance the throttle bodies but I don’t see the blue fluid raising in the tool columns.

as per instructions I have screwed all the way in the air bypass screw and backed them out one full turn .

the left and right side idle set screw are backed out.

I used the square white knob to somewhat let the engine idle.

if I play around with the air bypass screw nothing shows up on the tool.

Sometimes this happens to my carbureted Guzzi and I am always able to play with the carb until some fluid start showing up in the column of the tool.

this time not and since it’s the first time I am balancing throttle bodies… maybe I missed something?

    any help highly appreciated.

    ciao

Ciao Arveno...I have one from my 2002 Scura, but it's in excellent shape.  You have a $ budget in mind?  PM me.  Shipping may be a bit pricey given the box side, probably $50 bucks at least.

    Hi !

I don’t have a budget in mind given the fact that I thought it would not be easy to find a used seat regardless the condition.

i will feel sorry to butcher up a nice seat though.

let see if something in worst condition  comes up if not we can talk .

    thank you so much .

    have a great day

  8. Hello everyone, I am looking for a used seat, what I really need is the seat pan so condition doesn’t matter.

let me know if you have it

    thank you,

    M.

Note I am in NY state .

  10. I have about 200 miles of seat time on my V11 Sport, and i love it, but it is still in GA at a buddy's house.

I put the Hepco & Becker hard bags on it, road about 100 miles with them this weekend, I did not have much in them, but really did not notice them.

My questions are about the modifications to this bike, a previous owner made some changes, or what I think are changes, and I just want to know about them.

He removed the steering stabilizer and there were a few times this weekend I thought it would have been good to have.  Any opinion on the removal?  Any idea where to get one?

The bar conversion was done, I really like it, but just wondering what brand it is and if I can get a throttle lock to fit it.

Is this the original seat?  It did well, but after about 2 hours, I needed to move around to get my butt to wake up.  Not bad at all, just more an FYI question.

    NICE ALFA 75 !!!!!
