    Karma is a bitch....

I wouldn't bet money on him winning another, some of these young 22-year old guys can have horrendous crashes and still run all the way back to the pit's jump on the other bike and ride like nothing happened..and they are fearless because they havnt had any major injuries yet  ..It gets alot harder when you are past 30 yrs old like he will be , especially when you have had your humerus  cut out and flipped around upside down and bone grafted back in and had a half dozen concussions to the point they tell you you may go blind if you have another big one...Not to mention 2-3 major shoulder surgeries, all  since he was last champion. The bikes are faster and faster and these young dudes are used to all the new technical innovations..they grew up with.   I agree, I think he has matured in the past year or so but...."Time waits for no one".

    My Opinion

should we start a new MotoGP thread, without #93 as the headline?

Please do..I think just "Moto GP" would be fine..I never intended this to be a thread about him..He is my least favorite rider ...My first post was just supposed to be a funny picture and out.

As far as I can tell, that must have been around 1,000 km a day for three days. I'm impressed.

And that, apparently, on a Griso. Not necessarily known as a great touring bike, not like a GTR 1000 Kawasaki, for instance.

That shows a certain amount of dedication. B)

I did some touring and sight seeing on the way out but  I had a couple 1000 mile plus days ( quite a bit different than KM..) on the way back .. I am always like an old  Horse who smells the Barn once I get going home.. .

  4. I had a great time at the spine Raid last weekend

It was a great pleasure to meet all the Forum members in person and put a face to them.

Everyone I met was friendly ..I'm glad I went..It will always be a memorable occasion for me and my " bucket".

( lots of good riding and roads in that neck of the woods too, (Tenn and KY) )

The Guzzi ran awesome..It was almost 7000 miles by the time I got home and it never missed a lick, not even one small problem and there are plenty of big wide open spaces between here and there that a fella wouldn't want to break down in... It didn't use enough oil to be able to see on the stick..

A larger fuel tank would have been a PLUS..but hey...no complaints!!

  5. I've traveled thru there many many times  years ago ,  Great Taco trucks around ElPaso, some of the best anywhere....don't cross the border...Danger.....nice folks at the Big Harley shop there in El Paso if you want to kill some time..overall friendly town.

Their's a guy there in El Paso that is a collector,I don't know who he is but he has had some nice Moto Guzzi's for sale there from time to time..a year or 2 ago he had a beautiful Rosso Corsa listed for quite a while for a great price..Maybe the people at the Harley shop know who he is.
