  1. In addition to the warranty booklet and owners handbook, in Europe we also get 2 year breakdown cover and a booklet with all the details.

Not sure what the deal is in Canada- maybe you get the same.

Glad you are enjoying your Le Mans!!!

  2. The list prices for new Guzzi brake and clutch levers are appallingly expensive.

Luckily I have yet to need replacements but I bought a couple of pattern levers as spares from Agostinis in Italy.

These are identical to the Brembo originals except have silver coloured adjusters rather than gold but if this bothers you just reuse the old adjusters.

They worked out at around £20 each (sterling)

    Contact details for Agostinis: http://www.agostiniduilio.com/negozioflash-ingl.html

Reboot spares in the UK are breaking a Rosso Mandello and V11 Le Mans. Not sure what bits they have left but it may be worth dropping them an email.

Hope you get it fixed soon!

  3. Well you can buy a brand new Le Mans for £6495 in my local dealer. I have seen some secondhand Le Mans stuck in dealers showrooms for a long time if they are advertised at too high a price so the £4250 does not sound too bad depending on how much you are paying for the new bike you are looking to buy.

Are all the problems sorted now? If so why don't you keep it and learn to love it!

What are you thinking of swapping it for?

    Regards

    Guy

  4. My local Guzzi dealer went to a dealer meeting recently and was told that the 5 MGS01s due to be imported into the UK have been built and are on their way!

    All sold unfortunately.

  5. Hi Chris

July sounds good- the June dates will probably clash with Dutch Boxmeer rally.

I was gutted I could not make the last one!

Yorkshire Dales sounds good- I'm not too far away and happy to help with organisation etc.

    Regards

  6. If you have no luck finding the GB system, Corsa Italiana in London sell them tel +44 2082397012.

I saw one in their tent at the V Twin rally fitted to a brand new V11 Sport. Makes the bike look slimmer by not having the regular silencers each side.

I think I also saw one hanging on the wall in Agostinis in Mandello.

  7. Hi Jaap

    Some impressive results!

I have a very similar set up to your Le Mans with the exception that I run a single K and N filter in the standard airbox but with no lid.

Do you think having the seperate K and N pods makes a difference?

    Cheers

  8. You could also try Hobbsport in Keighley.

Mal (who posts on here) had his V11 Le Mans set up there with a PC111.

They used to tune a Guzzi racer a few years back so I guess should know their stuff.

  9. Hi Garry

I do not think there are any dealers in East Yorkshire but Moto Strada in Shipley will look after you if you do not mind travelling a few miles.

Premier Bikes in Askern used to be Guzzi dealers but I believe they have ceased being so.

    Regards

  10. I have been recently experimenting with my Ohlins set up and have settled with the following:

Rear Shock: Preload 2 clicks stiffer than standard. Compression and rebound left alone.

Front forks: Compression increased by 2 clicks over standard. Preload and rebound left alone.

I found the standard set up at the rear initially too soft and the bike was a bit like a comfy but slightly wallowy jelly. The bike is now much taughter and turns faster.

I guess these things are a matter of taste but this works for me!

    Regards

  11. Moto Strada in Shipley are an independant shop specialising in Italian bikes including Guzzis. They have recently set up business about a month ago.

Jason Sutcliffe the mechanic used to work at the official Guzzi dealer around the corner (Cobb and Jagger) and knows his stuff.

Cobb and Jagger are fine but are expensive!!

  12. Belfastguzzi quoted:

"I am interested to know where other Guzzi riders are in Ireland, Wales, Scotland, England. I have never seen another Moto Guzzi on the road here"

I have entered the 2004 Celtic Moto Challenge and will be riding my Rosso Corsa all over Ireland in May. Really looking forward to Mondello Park and all those fantastic roads.

It will probably be the only Guzzi involved (just like last year) unless one of you guys out there fancies having a bash- the event is suitable for those who like to use their bikes for what they were designed for.

  13. Hi there!

I have just reserved a brand new V11 Le Mans Rosso Corsa which I collect on 1st March 2004. This will be my 5th Guzzi and will replace the 1100 Sport Corsa which I sold over the winter.

I also ride a Jackal which is a great town bike and much faster than it looks.

I'd be interested to hear from any other Rosso Corsa owners around the world.

    Happy riding

    Guy Lewis
