I'm returning to the fold, and you're leaving. I remember you Stormy... mucho gracias for your contributions! Hope there's another Goose in your future!

It was the only bike that wasn't chained to something immobile at the time.

Direct your thanks to Jaap - for making this forum posssible - I doubt there is a better bike "assist" site on the net. Helps that these bikes are so easy to work on, and that there are so many people willing to post their experiences. The Guzzi community is extraordinry.
Happy to have you in the fold.

The ball in question goes into the slave, under the bleeder. The bleeder should have a flat internal profile, not tapered like the restof the brake bleeders. OR it could be the ball from the clutch microswitch... prolly the only 2 possibilities.
Nothing else would have fallen out. I am unfamiliar with the MPH kit... I would think that if there was a leak, you'd see fluid eventually, must be air trapped somewhere...

The tag that used to be riveted on there was an aluminum plate that said in big letters "Off Road Use Only" which of course were immediately removed by owners, for obvious reasons...
Cover/fill as you see fit, there is no pretty "Mistral" tag that went there.

Only 6 months? I've been waiting 6yrs for my "warranty" replacement side covers...
-
There's a reason they're called Mistral - they sing!

There goes $10 that could have been spent on beer in your belly. Sadly that would leak out too..

This kit was a wonderful mod for me - gave me the leg room needed, and placed the shifter/brake farther from my flipper feet - no more accidental rear brake drag from foot contact.

I don't think mine has a Nylock on it, but I can check again tonight.

Hi Nick - checked last night, my 2001 has a washer on that nut. Self locking plastic ring? Don't have one of those...
cheers!

Oh dear... just CAN'T stop yourself, can you.

Any more BS and close it. Plenty of room for error, even with a "high tech" laser. Semi-interesting concept but there's no more to say about it.

serious skill!
same kinda thang but with a small motor...

In life I've found the only thing that trumps fact, knowledge, references and well documented hands-on knowledge is a whackin' great lie told with conviction.
Awwwww, I think I just heard HackRacket's heart break... It's OK Grey, you'll be welcome with us philistines.

You remind me of him.
dammit MM! You made coffee come out my nose.

I just hope to god that they don`t have a nero in there when I go for some filters.
I went in to buy filters for my Triumph and walked out with a 74 Ducati. Next time I went in for filters for the Triumph, walked out with my V11. I'm worried - the Tramp needs filters again and I don't have room left in the garage.

Thanks daddy-G! I hadn't found that one. Looks like we'll be starting off in Hood River, heading down the Cascades to Crater and then exploring East. I'm saving the coast for a "less Winnebago" time of year. Tentative for Aug 5 or 6. Three of us are going (only one Guz), you'd be welcome to tag along!

Ryan, you lucky bastard!
Don't look at Sicilian female, they will hypnotize you....
Lucky? yes. Bastard? absolutely!

This workin stuff is paying off this summer - they're sending me to Hawaii too!

I'm going to be in Taormina, Sicily for a conference in July. Alas, no bike - any recommendations for M/C related things to see in the area?
Thanks!

I'm planning a trip around Oregon this August - any good shops I can rely on if I get into trouble? Bend seems to have a couple and one in Medford, though I'll be closer to Bend for most of it. Any feedback appreciated!
cheers

I take being insulted by RH as a good thing. It means I'm on the right side.
Which Silencers?

I have the older Mistrals. The sound is to die for. Can't comment on the latest carbons you've posted though. Anything's better than stock in my book.
