Whats the verdict for the stickiest (read best performance) tire ? I have a 2001 V11 that is currently running 160/60 Metzler M3 's I really like em, even though they are wearing fast. On this particular bike , grip in the dry and handling are my primary requisites from a tire. I've heard much talk about the Pirrelli Diablo's. Whats the good word ?

the most important thing i'd do would be to get the oil changed around 500-600 miles somewhere half distance on your trip. You'll find that until you have 500 or so miles on the V11 it may have some difficulty holding an idle (mine did but it was a 2001). Also it was super vibey at first, only really smoothing out once i hit 1000 miles or so. Otherwise why not ? robbie

You were lifting the front end 3-4feet in 1st gear ? DOOD ! I want that map ! I have a 2001 V11 Sport with Titanium cans, K&N pods and PCIII (high compression pistons and Stucchi crossovers to follow on the 15th of this month) , but even with all of that, the front of my bike stays glued to the ground when launching. Granted I have the clip-ons which throw my weight forwards so maybe thats the difference but still 3-4 feet ?

Can a V11 ever be too loud ? **grins** I love the exhaust note that I get from the titanium cans but i know it's a matter of personal taste. In my opinion thats what makes Guzzi's so great, they're just really indiviual bikes. It's a shame that I left my stock cans at Moto International or you could have had them. If you liek I could ask if they're still lying around ? robbie
