Tenni #108 for sale in Tucson, AZ. 11k miles. i'm unfamiliar with the pipes, but looks pretty clean with the exception of the terrible hack job on the rear tail light and fender. seems like an easy fix to get it back looking respectable. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/758961083627712 for those who don't have FB, let me know if you want to get in touch and i will message the guy for you...

i do believe you are right sir. i have not checked with Moto Guzzi to see if i can still order these parts, i am assuming no. but i shall check one of these days. i figured i would ask the question here first... i'll send you a PM @Scud. thanks for the offer, it is very much appreciated. and thanks again to all for the tips... -

best place to get red valve covers & matte grey frame plates?
fastaussie replied to fastaussie's topic in 24/7 V11
that is exactly what i want to do. i want to have the valve covers changed to red, and the footpeg plate holders to the dark matte silver colour. so the valve covers would be the only thing red on the bike, and pop, like you said... -

indeed mate. i'm throwing it out there to see what's around, but evidently the Guzzi gang thinks we're comedians today. i thought perhaps there might be a retailer who might make the valve covers or something, an aftermarket company? @Pressureangle mentioned anodising or powder coating, so those are good tips. the valve covers can be powder coating easily and reliably? i did find half of what i was looking for however. -

V11 misfire around 2000 rpm, or in need of mapping?
fastaussie replied to fastaussie's topic in Technical Topics
that's the first thing i plan to do, unplug that thing and see if the problem persists... -
i have a 2002 V11 Le Mans. it has an aftermarket crossover pipe and stock mufflers. if i hold the throttle steady around 2000 rpm in neutral, it hiccups and drops 500 rpm. then it will climb back to 2000 and a few seconds later, do it again. any ideas? i am the second owner, it has 3,700 miles on the odometer and is super clean, like new. it came with a Power Commander which i haven't messed with or unplugged yet. it also surges heavily under 4000 rpm. in that rpm range in any gear, it either wants to accelerate or decelerate. any ideas? anyone have a similar issue?

if i see a V11 for sale with those pipes, i'm going to buy the entire bike, swap pipes, and then resell it...

i saw a set a few years back for $700 with the ECU included. but i didn't have a V11 at that time. if i knew how hard-to-find they were, i would have bought them then...

hmmn, i do not know what a Quat-D exhaust is. i assume they are not readily available in these more modern times? if you feel like a change, i do have these, new in a box, not yet mounted...

i didn't see anyone else asking!

why thanks @activpop, it's almost impossible to take a bad photo of a 916 in southern California. those photos were all taken by my free, "whatever phone T-Mobile gave my the last time i walked in the store" model.

that's correct @docc, the link was just for pricing reference. my bike is listed on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist at the moment. posted last week... https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/mcy/d/redondo-beach-1997-ducati-916/7851098708.html https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1166017031880761

for sale is my '97 916. it is the last year of the original 90's Ducati graphics before they went to a small displacement number in the upper front corner of the fairing with a plain red fairing. i bought this bike almost a decade ago with 17k miles and have had it since. it now has around 21k on the odometer. however this bike is as clean as can be for not being brand new, it is in exceptional shape as you would expect of an icon such as this. it looks as new with the fairings on or off. i am extraordinarily picky about what i buy and religious about maintaining their mechanicals and aesthetics. i have owned dozens of Ducati's and other brands over my riding lifetime, this is of course the most special of all. it's cleaned off with a microfibre cloth after each ride, with separate cloths for fairings, windscreen, and frame/wheels. it's also hand waxed every few months. this 916 is completely 💯% OEM with the exception of a set of Termignoni carbon fibre slip-ons (with chip) and a closed carbon fibre clutch cover. there is a carbon key guard also, otherwise it's no different than when it rolled out of the Bologna factory 28 years ago. license plate holder, turn signals, levers, paint are all original. it came to me with an SPS tail but it is NOT an SPS. the white plate on the tail does look awesome so i left it, especially compared to the all red tail which looks kinda plain in contrast. when i bought it there was a tinted aftermarket windscreen. i purchased a brand new Factory Ducati OEM windscreen directly from Italy with the little Cagiva elephant in the right hand corner to bring it back to original equipment condition. i have had the rear brake master cylinder rebuilt, the chain runners replaced with new, and the air intake tubes replaced with brand new also. probably a few other general maintenance items i do not recall currently, along with the usual oil and filter, air filters, etc. it wears Bridgestone S22 tyres currently, in very near new, great condition. brakes, clutch, fluids, etc., are all in excellent shape. it has the upgraded charging system and regulator. battery is fresh and always on a tender when not in use. it will fire straight to life and run perfectly without the need of the fast idle. every turn signal, dash light, tail light and the rest function as expected. the going rate in this condition and mileage according to Classic Ducati Market sales tracking for 2020 to 2025 is between $18k to $19k on average. https://www.classic.com/m/ducati/year-1997 this bike has always resided within my personal residence in the Los Angeles South Bay area since i've owned it, and been maintained exclusively by Moto Servizio in Long Beach, as have all of my Ducati's and other brands. clean title of course, and currently registered. never dropped and never abused. spending 90% of its life in front of the fireplace. as you can see from some of the photos, this machine is ridden at least monthly, usually for Malibu car shows and Rock Store bike meet-ups. it has never left me stranded or given any trouble. it's never seen the track, i have other new machines for that purpose (ZX-4RR, Daytona 675R, GSXR 750, S1000RR M, RSV4 Factory). i originally purchased the bike from an old man's estate in NYC and had it shipped to me in L.A. it's been well cared for and had an easy life. the two videos below will show the condition and sound of my 916:
