  1. Found a thread by Wambiker read through that seems most people use thicker oils I might go hunting for a 15/50 high zinc as we are heading to summer here
  2. Hi guys I realise this may have been done to death but do we need a high zinc oil? It appears from google that 5/40-20/50 is appropriate seems like a massive range

The best sounding Guzzi ‘s in my mind are firstly when I was younger a yellow black 1100 sport come thundering off throttle slightly down hill into town he was going fast enough it lasted a good while I was awestruck secondly meet some bloke at a Lower Hutt motor cycle shop was standing out front admiiring a possibly sp1000 or similar big bored awesome pipes and running carbs anyway one big roll of the throttle down the street around roundabout and gone but the sound seemed to fill the atmosphere with a raucous delightful sound absolutely awesome my two favourite Guzzi sounds so far

  6. I’m in two minds,about getting staintune mufflers repaired ie re skinned or get cycle works to make new link pipes for these black mufflers as my bike is basically All Black now bar pork chops and bars for now

Hi guys so I have some staintune mufflers but sadly they are dented badly from prior storage I’m guessing I have a local motorcycle mufflers shop nearby ‘cycle works” I also have some other no name mufflers in black but they are very open or free flow with removable baffles my question is if they are to free flowing what do you have to do to correct fueling is it that CO trim I’ve heard about bike is has crossover pipe as well otherwise stock

  9. For what it’s worth in New Zealand I don’t think you can get a warrant with a gps speedo stupid but apparently true.
  10. Thanks for posting this Kiwi Roy. I find myself in a position where I may have to do the same as missing my rev counter and so far. O luck finding seeing as it’s longer than a year later goes those gauges holding up I’m curious before I jump in and purchase some.

Thanks it’s up front under tank I thought it may have been important but battery tender makes sense I’ll pull tank off and check. everything appears to work now job today was front brake micro switch again you guys helped with a thread it appears Brembo has gone to a little plastic bar that fits it there instead of steel ball. Repaint timing cover touch up engine black crinkle coated and fix or change exhaust cans and and recover seat we are done for now Thanks guys been a big job bits missing etc still chasing a grey rev counter but I don’t think that’ll happen, leaning to speed Hutt custom if I can’t find one Regards Kapiti Kiwi
