  1. Thank you for the offer to post larger images I would appreciate that. Pm your email address please and I’ll do the same
  2. When I recently purchased my 2002 Tenni it was obvious I needed to touch up its paint job. The two areas of most significance was the tail piece and a very poorly right front fairing repair. For the tail I had FMF Coatings scan it and mix up the paint in an aerosol. They were unable to get a good match on the green but I found the Lechler code for it, GUZDS08047 and had Classic Car Paints Direct mix it up in an aerosol as well. Both UK firms by the way. I’m sure many of you are saying paint in an aerosol is no good but I beg to differ. It’s the same paint formula you would get in a tin of paint, it’s guaranteed to have no moisture and they spray nozzles are very good with no air pressure issues (I also paint with conventional spray gun equipment). In the following pictures the tail piece has been painted with the base silver, have the code for it if anyone wants it. Will apply the “Tenni” decals once they arrive from The Images Works decal makers . As these paints are both base coats will spray with matt lacquer top coat once the decals are applied. In thr picture of the right front fairing have removed the poorly applied top coat in preparation of final repair. Will post pictures of final repeats once completed. Interested in your comments as always

    Tenni suede seat

My 2002 Moto Guzzi Tenni did not come with its suede seat, I bought a V11 black seat and want to have it recovered to match the suede version as supplied with the Tenni. My questions are as follows. -did they use a real suede leather for the Tenni? - if it was real suede was it cow hide or pig hide or other? - if it was a man made suede what is it called please? Thanking you in advance for your replies.
  6. Twin, I realized your post is 2 or 3 years old but I’m intrigued by your quest as I to am a Canadian that now lives in the UK. Originally from the Kootenays, Castlegar in fact. The best bit is I just acquired a Tenni as my daily driver. It’s in fair condition and I plan on working away at improving it by getting it back to factory appearance. It’s not for sale so you can breathe easy. As a fellow Canadian happy to keep an eye out for a Tenni for you if you wish as I’m in that circle of bikes. Have included a picture of mine. Drop me a note if the mood strikes you
  7. Good advice Scud, I will continue to research the bike to try and determine if it ever had a “Txxx” assigned to it. If it did and I can determine what it was I will have one made up. The previous owner did contact Moto Guzzi with the VIN and engine numbers and they did confirm it to be 2002 Tenni. Thank you for your comment
  8. I’ve got the Tenni home now and very pleased. Sticking with the topic of missing number on triple clamp it does have the Guzzi eagle on a small plaque that makes me think that this bike never did have a “Txxx” applied. Picture attached, I’m interested in your comments please.
  9. Doc, yes your picture is of the plate that is missing on mine. I’ve read that Moto Guzzi actually missed installing these numbered plates on some bikes but have no confirmation of this. Of the 18 or 19 bikes Moto Guzzi imported into the UK originally only 8 are not accounted for on the registry. The question is could one of those 8 be mine?
  10. Sorry, I was not clear. The VIN # is not missing its the T00X plaque that’s missing from the triple clamp
  11. I’m in the process of buying a Tenni, unfortunately it’s missing its # on the headstock. I live in the UK and the bike was originally imported to the UK. The fact it’s missing its # is just an inconvenience and I’m very excited to be getting it. My question is ,am I right in assuming that #’s T012 to T020 and T161 to T170 (excluding T165 to Bulgaria andT168 to Japan ) are the only bikes MG imported to the UK? In this batch of #’s it appears to me the only unaccounted #’s are T012, T019, T020, T161, 162, 163, 164, and T170. If my assumptions are correct and they may not be , my bike should be one of the 8 unaccounted bike in these sequence of UK imported bikes. All comments are appreciated.
