  1. The used one on e-Bay sold for $146 bucks plus shipping. Don't they cost $100.00 new? Tom
  2. I am guessing that I have ground problem with my dashboard lights because they are working when there not suppose to or not working at all depending on what day of the week it is. Saturday wasn't so good but today it was better. It started with the neutral light coming on in almost any gear; especially when accelerating. Then the turn signal dash lights were not working; now they are working. The latest is the high beam dash light not working. The neutral light does work(strange) when in neutral. This is my fourth Guzzi so this traveling neutral light is new to me. I have looked at the electric schematic in the owners manual but this being a brand new bike I thought that I would ask first before I started hunting and possibly causing more problems. My other Guzzi's(two-93's and a 81) are less intimidating in terms of removing the gas tank. Thanks, Tom
  3. Funny. Of course you know that the bike was purchased based on all the money we will save on gas from the Prius. Tom
  4. I ordered a Stucchi crossover and would like to install the MG titanium exhaust but with the re-location of the passenger footpegs and the likelyhood of bags not working I was considering the low Mistral Titanium exhaust. Anyone have these on their bike? Thanks, Tom LaNasa
  5. Yes and no. I purchased the bike and then got an e-mail from the Wichita dealer informing me that he would sell the Rosso at my asking price. I e-mailed the owner of the 00 Sport and asked him if he would consider some monetary compensation for cancelling the sale and if not I would keep my word and purchase his bike. We went back and forth and he seemed happy with the conclusion even though his current ad does not reflect our converstion. I hope he sells the bike because it looks real clean with low miles. They pick up the Rosso today and I will get the bike November 2nd or 3rd. Tom
  6. Breva 1100.....what's that? Tom
  7. Funny. You really want to ride to NYC in late October? Tom
  8. We did some e-mail haggling and he came down to $10,800.00 and I considered flying in and riding it home but I only save about $200 bucks and loose two days riding the slab. Doesn't seem to be worth the torture. Tom
  9. I bought the Rosso Corsa from the dealer in Wichita and would like to know if anyone has actually seen the thing. Having it shipped to me next week. Thanks, Tom
  10. I don't think he will because I have a feeling he is glad the deal fell through. I talked to him and he was rather adamant about the 48 hour deposit. I told him that I was at a Moto Guzzi rally(Maryland/DC) and didn't get the notice that I won until I got home after the 48 hour time line. I would have thought that when one sets a minimum bid that that is what they need at a MINIMUM. Technically it is my fault but never had this happen to me before. The closing time for the bidding was about 4pm on Friday and I bid about five minutes before I left for the rally. I would have had to Fedex him a deposit (try getting a certified check or money order; certainly not cash) on Friday night for him to get it by Saturday. I may appeal this to e-Bay and see what they say. Tom This dealer is 250 miles from my location.
  11. I was willing to buy the bike at his asking price but he was unwilling to sell me the bike......at his asking price. I am not too happy but not much I can do about it now. Tom
  12. Oh well, because I went to the Maryland rally and didn't respond in time, the dealer backed out of the deal. Tom
  13. Thanks. It is a great price. Tom
  14. I bid on the it before I left for the Maryland/DC rally but I didn't think that I would win the bike because I just bid the asking price. I was surprised that no one bid on the bike. Anyone know this dealer? Tom
  15. My weight is 140-5'6". I called the dealer in Wichita and he gave me the standard price of $11,400. I may just bid on the Rosso Nero on e-Bay and that is just a ride upstate if I can get it at a decent price. Tom
  16. Carl, Where did you see this price? Thanks, Tom
  17. I am soon to be moving to my house in north Florida on a full time basis so Baha Manhattan will soon be a memory. Bike will be used for solo rides to BRP,etc. I have ridden an 00 and 01 when they first came out and recently I rode Dave Washburns 03/04(?) and really like his bike. For some reason I have this jones for a modern bike. Plus I will now have a real garage so why not fill it up with bikes? Tom
  18. I need some opinons on a(new to me) bike purchase. I really like the Rosso Corsa or the Nero but would prefer the silver engine case, rear drive etc. of the early V11's. Plus the price is better considering the ones that keep popping up on e-Bay on a daily basis but that isn't a major issue. Well, somewhat. Then there is the rumors of a streetable MGS/01 which I am sure is a long shot but would be plenty unhappy....but such is life. Anyway, would like to hear from both Rosso/Nero owners and 00-01 V11 owner's. I own three Guzzi's, so am quite familiar with the reported problems with the early ones. Thanks, Tom
  19. I don't think that the price is much different at any of the dealers but I could be wrong. The dealer in Soho use to have a good mechanic but I understand that he is no longer with them so I don't know who is working there. You can try Rockwell Cycles which is north of the Bear Mountain bridge or Branchville in Conn.; Rockwell would have to order a bike because they don't keep many on the floor. Branchville would be my choice because I like the owner but it is a hike to get up there. Or you can purchase one of the used ones that seem to be in abundance on e-Bay. Good Luck, Tom

    MSG\01...When?

It was my understanding that Alabama and New Hampshire will register almost anything without too many questions. Tom
  21. Ok, Dave sucks. I go with him to pick up his new bike and then he lets me ride his bike and now I want one. Dave sucks. Tom
