1. HELLO, guys. when did red become THE Guzzi colour? Its a Greenie earth, the rest of you just live in it.

The matte paint is fabulous, anyone who knows what kind of paint that is?

Do you know whom this team belongs to? it could be the quiz for the next month, but I really want to tell you.

The team is promoted and set up by Bruno Scola.

Do you know Who Bruno Scola is?

  2. I'm interested as well. I just started looking for options to change the risers, specifically two brothers racing but these look much better. My only question would be I have the ohlins forks, I beleive they larger than stock lemans forks at the top of the triple clamp. Also doesn't MPH cycle sell a riser kit for the Lemans?

the V11 Le Mans has 54mm marzocchi forks, I would say that the Rosso or Nero corsa have the same diameter forks, just ohlins.

The MPH riser is different, you apply it to the original clip ons, and you have to cut them. Anyway I didn't have to do longer clutch and brake lines, and it looks it's working ok.

  3. Being the chicken that I am, I was waiting for someone else to install them first before proceeding with mine. Did you notice any issues with handling from having to raise the forks up through the triple trees (~1/2" from what I can gather)? That's about the only concern I have even though I’ve been assured by many that it won’t make any difference.

So now, I guess I have to take the forks out, send them to Traxxion Dynamics for some new springs and valves then put the new bars on .. It should be a good summer.

    Cheers

The forks are now 1cm shorter, that's right. I did't find any riding disadvantage at the moment. Being the steering higher and shorter, and a little bit larger, due to the clipon risers, the steering is lighter and the bike is a lot easier in low speed manouvers and city traffic.

  4. He offered everybody on this forum these risers about 6 months ago (?) Maybe he'll start a 2nd production run when demand is large enough?

    82248

That's right. The original price was around 160-170 euro, i think. when I asked him he already finished the "mass" production and made them for me on demand, basically. it may be then that if you ask him he will make them for you at a similar price.

  5. Heeee-Haaaaa! finally I had the chance to install the clip on risers built by Jean Marc. They look great, they look strong, and the riding position has improved a lot.

With the standard handlebar it was very tricky to find a good riding position without interfering with the Le Mans fairing. Although I didn't do it on my own I see that the risers fit perfectly inside the fairing, and the clutch and brake reservoirs do not interfere at all.

I'd lik to say: MANY MANY MANY THANKS TO JEAN MARC. Wonderful job!

the server does not allow me to upload pictures now, I will try later.

  6. How come you MG insiders haven't told us about this yet?

Maybe it was mentioned when I was 'away'?

    "2007 Moto Guzzi Griso 850

Moto Guzzi is rumoured to have made the Griso transformation also on the Breva 750.

Whilst the Griso 1100 is based on the Breva 1100

    – the new Griso will get a big-bore version of the Breva 750 engine.

Moto Guzzi was not willing to comment at this point. Closer to EICMA 2006 in Milan we will know more."

At this rate, there'll be a 125 Cali Chopper next!

    I was thinking........ :glare:

In case you carry a pilion, wouldn't he/she burn his/her knees and ankles against the hot pipes and tubes?

  8. Turin, Torino in italian, what a nice city! it is the city I am coming from actually,

I am going there for the weekend, leaving tomorrow and coming back to Dublin on monday. Short break to feel the olympics atmosphere. On saturday there will be the so calle white night, cause teathers, museums, pubs, bars, shops, cinemas will be open until late night, and there will be a night market.

    Sounds good.

  9. Normally, I would take my usual dictatorial and independent approach to the award of a point, but in this case I am just not sure.

I'm therefore putting it to the vote.

  11. Related to breaking springs? The further the ratchet arm goes towards the casing the more stress on the spring. Set up right, in conjunction w/eccentric screw on shift plate this should give more positive change & least stress on spring?

No doubt Guzzi'll be mailing out these little gizmos to us any day now... :xmas:

Gallo have you measured the pawl arm spring boss?

    KB :sun:

    67598

Yes, it is 15mm, so the spring broke for whatever other reason but not due to the boss.
