  1. ANYone have ANY idea how much the Griso will cost? I really like it I don't care what anyone says. But second I saw a post earlier that stated 102hp but MG's own site states 88hp? I don't like the sound of that gimmie a hondo hp, ALSO why the hell are they not going back to the 4v heads? I'm so confused is there something going on? are the 2v's cheaper? easier? they lazy? have an overstock of 2v? from what I can tell the 4v is a better setup. Maybe someone in the "know" could let me know.

  2. Thats too bad I really like the look of the current sports/lemans I hope if they get it together the bikes will look all the better and have more performance from the get-go(although its not bad to start) Also HEy Paul do those tail peices come with the funky little turn signals or where do you pick those up? and are they easy to snap into place (the whole tail)?

  3. I really like the end weights I purchased, but now that you mentioned it I should have just taken the mirrors off for barend mirrors. Do you have to have a mirror on your bike? Maybe I could run without any. But then the end weights I picked up are worthless as well if I take the mirrors off, what a connundrum

  4. but yet nothing happend to his handle bars and I, ah hem I mean HE didn't fall over when it happend. what gives? Silly movies, like have you seen mission impossible when they drive off the road -You can see the knob tires its like they switched out the street slicks with motorcross wheels.

  5. Well at cruising speed on my V11 after about 15 min my forearms hurt more than anything my butt was saying. Not thier best desing led me to think "did they actually ride the bike after they made it?" but at least it was easy to fix

  6. if you do a search you will find a whole slew of related blogs, I believe I got the R1200's for mine they are conic shaped with chrome all you need to do is decide the shape you want and then if you want them to be hidden inside the side panels like Al's bike or come right off the throttle bodys. When I looked they have 4 shapes that fit my TB I think I spent $35 for each one -crome added a small fee. measure your TB and order from K&N direct if you like they ship fast and are easy to work with.

  8. Hello to all. I found this guy searching the internet one day sells bar end weights BIG ones(361g per side), he's a local guy to me suprisingly so I didn't have to pay any shipping met him at a coffee shop and talked motorcycles. I don't know if they are a good deal or not but they look simply amazing on the bike fit perfect and took about 3 min longer to get the bar ends off than these on. Read the product reviews he put mine up there not exactly how I said it maybe it is I tend to ramble a lot. sry guys. But I like the stock mirros(call me crazy) and I couldn't find any others in stock or for a decent price. But if your vibes feel like a 10 they bring it down to a 3 maybe a 4. If this is in the wrong place or I'm outta place let me know

  9. Could have been underfilled at the dealership(possibly) or mine ate up a quart of oil from the time I bought it till I got the oil changed at 3,800 to 8,000mi I should have checked it more but the dip is hard to use and read and I'm on it more now with an extra quart in the garage incase. If you are low you will probably hear some extra noise at startup tho its hard to explain guzzis make so much noise as it is. I ALSO join the cabin fever I've had mine out twice and put on an extra 150mi since I got her out of the storage almost a month ago. Minnesota is not rider friendly but I swear to god there are some real crazies here it doesn't matter what the weather is someone somewhere in this state is on a motorcycle. I promise you that much. its fffreaky.

  10. I swear I got pulled over so the cop could check out my bike. he said I rolled through the red light making a right hand turn onto a state highway. First thing he walks up and says "what kind of bike is that?" "who makes it?" Just looked at my lisence and let me go said to be safe. I'm sure if I had been on a yamahaha or a cow a saki I would have been riding home with a ticket though I thought I was fine, stopping? who needs to come to a complete stop turning right? I could see the road was clear. or maybe a left turn for you freaky european ppl you know what countries you are.

  11. YEAH I wish mine didn't have all that external stuff to deal with it sounds easier to get it all off then the actual practice of it. maybe its easier than it looked but I got through it. I almost wish I would have held out for a 2004 cafe sport I like those sooo much I got a real good deal on my 00' with 3,800 for 6,800 last april. So beggers can't be choosy in theroy I should have not gotten my first bike and went straight for the goose. but hindsight is 20/20 and who cares I'll stop ranting I'm on the goose now. :mg:

  12. Velousa, Virago, CBR-whats that stand for anyway? Bandit-bike makes the name bad to me, Ninja come on I thought that was dumb when I was 5, haha Ninja, Katana, the list goes on and on usually japanese bikes have the stupidest names. I'm also not a fan of the harley heiarchy, ya know they have a new bike and its the Dyna wide glide XTCFTLSI.blahblahblah. I guess I just hate everybody.

  13. CHEEZE AND RICE, 17000 euro at the current exchange rate and with the way things are going by my calculations.... one sec.. thats damn near a million dollars. Well might as well be. I really like what youve done with that prototype of yours a true original. Cheers :bier:

  14. alright here's what I did. the "passenger" or right side of the bike I disconnected the fuel line my tank was almost empty I then lifted up the tank carefully and swung it over towards me standing on the left side of the bike with the tools I needed in hand held on to the tank with my knee and left arm against the bike took the stock airbox off with my right pulled it all out then put the tank back on as gently as possible I can't say there is an easier way without disconnecting everything because I couldn't see how to fully drain the tank without getting fuel everywhere so I said "screw it" and muscled my way through. I hope someone can offer a little more sound advice but it was nice out and I've been waiting all winter to get those pods on. And I checked, dealers don't have vaseline on hand you have to bring your own.

  15. I want to get the Aprilia Futura for a second touring bike, or so I tell the Ms's its for touring right? its comfy and slowww, well everything looks slow moving that fast. :bier: I digress I really want to get the harley Springer classic but at 18k, I'll wait 18k could get me an MV agusta or 2 used Guzzi's or A hayabusa and insurance for 3 months ya know all kinds of goodies. go for the winger. if you want something with style get the ultra electra glide whatever thier full dress is they have stupid names for thier bikes. Not like the alphanumeric monikers the euro's use.

  16. I've gotta add whats already been said but if you want 120HP get an MVagusta for the same price it'd take to put into the guzzi. then youre not only different youre now "exclusive" ooOOoo or buy an R1 call it a day. I dunno I like the guzzi the way it is but I'd love it if they came out of the 70's and made a state of the art goose.

  17. I really want to get an Aprilla RSV Futura basically a mille with better fairings and slightly less HP easily fixable with a new exhaust and a power commander if I remember right. I was very very interested in getting ahold of a MV agusta F4 but have not heard great things about thier reliability as in the old addage if you can't afford to fix it you can't afford to buy it. I'm just not as big on the 4cyl as the Veetwins I low the low end torque and lack of the highband and since I drive beer trucks through town if I get a double the limit ticket I better look for a new job.

  18. AHHH someone after my own heart I had my first street bike for 3 years and put on 6K I've had the Guzzi since last april and put on 6K (its minnesota or I would have doubled that) I love this bike more than any I've ridden which as for similar bikes go is only about half a dozen. I know there's maybe bigger faster stronger bikes but to me none are better. On a CBR who asks "Who makes a HON-Da?" I also asked serveral times if the recalls had been done on my bike but I never got a straight answer so for now I cross my fingers and will be asking again with more conviction when I get my tires changed the next nice day. :mg:

  19. I think at some point you have to decide when enough is enough, How many gadgets can you get and still not be happy well maybe happy but not content. I'm getting chills I did this with my last bike totally decked it out everything but the electrical on my little 01 suzuki maruader and I swear as soon as I finished with everything you can think of, I sell it and buy the Guzzi. I have to stop looking at some of these threads Its getting hard to convince the other half. Someone should find a way to add an empty wallet emoticon :glare: or possibly the angry wife
