  1. Listed my Scura on eBay.  Great bike but just not riding anymore and selling all my bikes.  This one has been sitting a couple years now and will need a Guzzi enthusiast to go through and address any issues it may have.  Before I stopped riding it, had the original clutch replaced just to prevent any issues although the original clutch was working fine.  Also had the roper plate installed and fluids changed out.  It’s not a show bike but has lots of potential and engine starts right up.  Let me know if you have any questions or if you’d like more detailed close up pictures.  There is no reserve but I’ve listed the opening bid at the minimum bid I’d want to accept.  Thanks for looking.

What’s the story behind that setup?

Just changed the cover out for a carbon fiber one from Italy.  The little Metal loop is to keep the wire from swinging around.  Previous owner had the wire zip-tied to the bolt.  The loop will probably work fine.

  3. Hi Steve,

Yes the shipping and import tax is quite expensive at almost 50% cost of the bag, but oh well.  It’s near impossible to find this bag anymore so I’ve accepted the expense.  I will change my verified address in PayPal next week once all the paperwork for our move is complete and will send you a PM with the new address.  Thank you!

  4. Hi Troutman......Thanks for posting a link here.  I just bought it.  I might need you to send it to a different address because I am in the process of moving.  Please let me know how we can address that issue.  If I receive it before March 6th send it to the PayPal verified address.  If I am going to receive it after that date I will need it sent to my new address.

  5. Scura #600 - new to me today. Just sold my old Scura w/ Coppa paint job couple months ago and the garage just didn’t feel complete anymore. This one was apparently on and off the market a couple times and popped up again yesterday.......brought it home today. Will need a little TLC, but I’m excited nonetheless.

  6. Went for a ride to work today on the Scura.  Bike was hesitating a little while cruising at highway speeds.  Felt like I was running out of gas.  Stopped at a gas station to fill and was able to get 6gallons of fuel in it...  does that mean I was cruising on fumes or is my gas station rigging the fuel pump counter?  My low fuel light never turned on.  I thought capacity was 5.5gallons total?  After filling continued my commute and rode at speeds I haven’t hit since I was young and stupid.  I know it’s wrong but felt amazing!

  7. I’m 5’8” with weight always fluctuating between 165-185# (tending to stay on the higher end lately) so I keep the equivalent of large and medium sized gear in jacket and pants so I always have something that fits right.

Jacket: Rukka Merlin (50), Rukka Armas (48)

Pants: BMW City 2 pants are a great fit for me and adequately padded for daily commuting.  Not too heavy weight yet warm enough for a California coastal winter.  I keep these in a Large and Medium.

    Boots:  Daytona Road Star GTX

Helmet: Shoei RF 1200 (Daijiro Kato replica because it looks cool and I like the hi-viz graphics).

Gloves: Daniese 4 stroke evo.  Currently looking to upgrade to something a little warmer.

Agreed that cracks don't usually go through, but that looks separated. While it's idling, spray some carb cleaner or other solvent on the boot. If the idle changes the split goes through.

A good tune-up and synch is always excellent method, but even if it coughs, it shouldn't cough on your leg.

(Might also check that the vacuum tap plug is not loose.)

Thank you. Yes this is definitely coughing on my leg.  Where is the vacuum tap plug?

  9. Wondering if anyone has encountered this before.  I did a search for puff of air and did not find anything matching the issue I encountered yesterday and today.  Commuting to work on the highway at 70-80mph the bike was running smooth but as I got off the exit and slowed down to a stop at a light I felt  sudden puff of air on my left leg right at the level of this picture.  It was just one puff today and one puff yesterday.  No smoke, cannot tell if their was a sound associated with it.  Wondering if the cracks in these rubber parts are creating a leak?  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks.
