Bucee's is good stuff. Beaver nuggets will change your outlook on life.
There is one near Barber's museum; so, one more reason to stop by B'ham.

Sorry my cameo appearance was shorter than usual this year. I looked for you guys at the top of the mountain after the falls. Spent the back half of the day running from the rain.
Hoping next year things are back to "normal".

So, Paul, several of us end up at Tapoco Lodge for lunch Saturday and up to the Tail of the Dragon to watch the carnival if that looks more do-able for you...
Also, hoping @sctt2525 brings his sweet Ballabio again to hang out!
Cheers, Docc!
I'm the one that ran in to Paul at the "Time Warp Tea Room" on their bike night.
I'm sure I'll find my way to Tellico this weekend.

Well, rats.
Kathi and I will be no-shows at this year's SSR.
Not a C19 thing, but a family-events calendar that has us too far away to make it from here, there, and back, etc., in time, even in a Ferrari, much less our Fit, Mini, or any of our moto-harem.
Regrets and best wishes to all. We look forward to the pix and tales.

P.S. I showed this to Kathi after I launched it, and she said "WHO IS THAT?" ... meaning the Cubanos. Naturally, I lied and said "That's another reason we just could not go, Dear; I was appalled."

Rats,
You'll be missed.
I was going to press you pretty hard to buy the Ballabio this year

It was good to see you all last night. I'm having trouble shaking loose from work to come back today.
By not being there, I think it increases your chance for dry weather anyway.
Ride safe.

So sorry I can't make it this year. Have fun, and be safe.

...Also for first timers: watch the routing of the braided shock res hose when reinstalling. It is dangerously close to the hot cable serving the starter. Nearly had sparks here......
Best to disconnect battery.
Had the battery disconnected. Wouldn't attempt it otherwise. Just meant that I nearly routed the braided hose such that it would have been really ugly when the battery was reconnected. I could see where the rubber boot cover on the starter lug could creep up causing a problem.
Not sure why, sometimes when I post here; what I say and what I meant are so differn't

Finished now, and shifting fine. Only problem was when dry fitting for trial, I put the shifter on a spline or two off and only had first and neutral, as the shifter hit the frame behind it before going into second.

Thanks, belfastguzzi!

... Is there a way to tell before cracking open the gearbox case? (ie. frame #)
No.
But I thought it was just 2002 bikes had wrong size post?
The springs break anyway. Seems to me that it just happens a lot quicker on the 2002 bikes that have the wrong sized parts (mine went after only 1k miles from new).
Chances are that the Ballabio spring has gone the natural way of all the other broken springs (if that's what has indeed happened).
Sctt, you'll most likely only need a new spring, not the arm. As Baldini says, the arm/boss is probably the correct size. A new spring will (should) have a bigger coil anyway, to work with the bad arm as well as a good one.
Sounds good. New spring is already on it's way from TX.Should probably call and have them send another one to keep for insurance. Is it going to be a problem to seperate the gearbox cover if the tranny will not go into neutral?

Mine went today...at least assume so. Ballabio is stuck in second gear (and of course a LONG way from home); will get her home tomorrow. Confused if I need just the spring or the entire arm- Is there a way to tell before cracking open the gearbox case? (ie. frame #)

So sorry I didn't make it. Between the job(s) and the girlfriend(s), I had trouble with the scheduling. Besides, I'm starting to think that my NOT being there helps to ensure better weather for those who are.
Maybe next year.

Sorry, Docc.
Didn't mean to hijack the thred.
Should we start a new one about Bucee's?
