French Ban Fireworks at Euro Disney (AP), Paris , March 5, 2003

The French Government announced today that it is imposing a ban on the use of fireworks at Euro Disney.

The decision comes the day after a nightly fireworks display at the park, located just 30 miles outside of Paris , caused the soldiers at a nearby French Army garrison to surrender to a group of Czech tourists.

  2. The becker lift/stand is the most easy to use stand I know for the V11. The trick is, as with Nortons, don't use brute force. The wheels make the thing even easier to work with. Just put your weight on the far end of the stand - as with every motorcycle stand since they were invented.

    hubert

    I guess I don't weigh enough... :huh2:

  3. I have the Becker stand. It basically works, but I had to remove the wheels to get it working. Otherwise it just keeps sliding with the bike as you try to lift. Not totally effortless, but it will work provided that you push the bike backwards as you stand on the lever. Also, they are a bit fiddly to place/remove. Quite heavy (read German-solid) too.

  4. ...but have not yet found the right solution to eliminate the tach jumping at least 1000 rpm around the true reading. They are really responsive to customer questions, but the inductive pickup seems to be hyper sensitive....

Try using the tach pulse from the ECU/original tach instead of inductive pickup.

  5. It seems that my fast idle lever is stuck in the "off position" (as in returned to warmed up engine setting). Will not budge in any direction, not even for a milimeter.

Before I take the whole thing apart (starting with the oil sump working my way upwards), any pointers on where to look?

  6. Two studs that hold the instrument tend to get wiggly if played around with (or being looked at). It will not hurt to remove the plastic cover and have a look. Arm yourself with some thick glue (like epoxy), since I don't believe there are many better ways to fasten them back.

And yes, the trip reset knob is wrong threaded.
